TL;DR: In this paper, the double pulse configuration (DP) at various inter-pulse delay times and distances of the second laser beam from the target surface was investigated for copper-based-alloy standards.

TL;DR: A unified matrix-flushing theory and its practical applications for quantitative multicomponent analysis by X-ray diffraction are presented in this article, where the calibration curve procedure is shunted; the matrix (absorption) effect is totally eliminated; all components, crystalline or amorphous, can be determined.
Abstract: A unified matrix-flushing theory and its practical applications for quantitative multicomponent analysis by X-ray diffraction are presented. In this method, a fundamental “matrix-flushing” concept is introduced; the calibration curve procedure is shunted; the matrix (absorption) effect is totally eliminated; all components, crystalline or amorphous, can be determined.

TL;DR: In this article, the quantitative aspects of elemental electrospray mass spectrometry were investigated with particular emphasis on the factors affecting the ability to establish linear calibration curves, and it was shown that linear calibration curve can be obtained for trace elements if the analyte signal is ratioed to the signal from a constant amount of a similarly charged electrolyte species.
Abstract: The quantitative aspects of elemental electrospray mass spectrometry are investigated with particular emphasis on the factors affecting the ability to establish linear calibration curves. It is shown that linear calibration curves can be obtained for trace elements if the analyte signal is ratioed to the signal from a constant amount of a similarly charged electrolyte species. Linear calibration curves can be established over a concentration dynamic range of at least four orders of magnitude. The added component seems to function as a stabilizer and monitor of the electrospray process and as an internal standard. In certain cases, species generated by acidification of the solvent may be used as electrospray stabilizers.

TL;DR: The assessment of the recovery factor with the analyte concentration in meat samples has been studied for the determination of organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides in meat by gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) and a new term recently proposed, calibration recovery is proposed.
