Abstract: Maximization of non-coking coal in coal blend is eloquent interest among re- searchers in coke making throughout the world To maximize the non-coking coals in coal blend with the scarce and expensive coking coals is an essential practice in the iron and steel industry The fundamental aspect of the coal blending theory of low value coals to produce good quality of metallurgical coke in non-recovery coke making process was investigated in this study by using the composite coking potential technique The implementation of the technique has yielded use of up to 25% pulverized coal injection, 20% raw petroleum coke as a component of coal blend Results show that the coal blend having composite cok- ing potential value of 48 is desired to achieve the targeted coke strength after reaction of 65

Abstract: Quick coal liquefaction at high temperature is a novel method of coal direct liquefaction, which is based on the initial highly reactive characteristics at the beginning of coal liquefaction reaction and the different chemical bond energy in molecular structure of coal, so the essence of coal liquefaction can be essentially revealed by the method. The catalyst plays a key role in the coal liquefaction process. Taking Yanzhou coal as a case, this article studies the effect of homemade iron-based catalyst on quick coal liquefaction at high temperature in a micro autoclave for the first time.

Abstract: Methods of chemical thermodynamics of multicomponent reactive systems are used to study the distribution of the most volatile components (potassium and sodium) in the products of combustion of 15 types of coal. The effect of the mineral part of coals and various potassium and sodium compounds on the temperature of their transition into the gas phase is investigated. It is shown that the distribution of potassium and sodium in the products of coal combustion depends on the speciation of these elements in the initial coal; the mineral part composition; the ash content of coals; and the sulfur, potassium, and sodium content of the initial coals.

Abstract: Coal liquefaction was an important strategic choice by converting coal resources into liquid fuels and part of its resources into high quality chemicals.To ease the demand and supply situation of petroleum,coal liquefaction was developed to address emergency needs.What's more,coal liquefaction can be used to separate compounds with special structure used in value-added chemicals and produce polymers,yielding considerable economic benefits.With revealing the coal liquefied technology as the starting point,current situation of applications and existing problems were simply summarized.Performance and utilization of coal liquefaction and residue were emphasized.Finally,problems and development prospects were also raised.

Abstract: Coal liquefaction is a conversion processes which coal generates liquid hydrocarbon and little gas hydrocarbon by its catalytic hydrogenation. Nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur and other heteroatoms were removed from coal at the same time. Coal liquefaction is not only conducive to improve the utilization of coal resources, but also would ease China's oil tense situation. Improve the conversion efficiency of coal is the focus of coal liquefaction research, and the influence factor on coal liquefaction rate were discussed in this paper. It mainly related to coal type, coal petrographic macerals and catalysts.
