TL;DR: In this article, coal was pyrolysed to 500 °C in an atmosphere of deuterium using an autoclave described previously, and the final pressure was 2.64 MPa.

TL;DR: In this article, the mathematical analysis of hydrogenating depolymerization of asphaltenes from coal extracts is presented, in an autoclave in the presence of natural aluminosilicate with high content of iron at temperatures 673-733 K and under hydrogen pressure 9.8-29.4 MPa.

TL;DR: In this article, the N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) extracts of several coals (gas coal, flame coal, orthocoking coal) have been described and the contribution of each maceral to the extractible phase was estimated from the petrographic analysis and from the yields of NMP extraction.
Abstract: The characterization by pyrolysis-field ionization mass spectrometry (Py-FIMS) of the N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) extracts of several coals (gas coal, flame coal, orthocoking coal) has recently been described. This study is now extended to the NMP extracts of the macerals, i.e., vitrinite, exinite, and inertinite, after separation from the gas coal sample. The Py-FI mass spectrum of the original gas coal is also reported. The contribution of each maceral to the extractible phase was estimated from the petrographic analysis and from the yields of NMP extraction

TL;DR: The conventional biotechnological yield analysis applied to coal processing has several interesting consequences, including high product yields feasible particularly under anaerobic conditions, although leaving open the question of whether the relevant hydrolase enzymes exist.

TL;DR: In this article, a 30 min interaction with a highly aromatic ( f a = 0.9) anthracene oil at 400 °C and 14 MPa proved to be negative due to the formation of small amounts of THF-insoluble matter from the oil.
