TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of o-cresol on conversions of Bruceton coal to tetrahydrofuran (THF) extract was determined over the full range of composition for mixtures of O-Cresol with either tetralin, phenanthrene, anthracene or pyrene.

••
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used matrix isolation-Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for slow pyrolysis of four coal coals (Illinois No. 6, Pittsburgh bituminous, Rawhide sub-bituminous and Texas lignite).

TL;DR: In coal gasification plants based on nuclear process heat, materials are subjected to high temperature corrosion in process gas atmosphere at 750 to 900°C as mentioned in this paper, and the creep rupture strength at 900° C is in the range of the creep strength for Incoloy 800.

TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of West Virginia coal coals are shown on a series of maps, with recoverable reserves estimated at 58 billion tons, with five different coal conversion processes including combustion, low-Btu gasification, high-BtU gasification and carbonization.
Abstract: Properties of West Virginia coals are shown on a series of maps, with recoverable reserves estimated at 58 billion tons. Processes including combustion, low-Btu gasification, high-Btu gasification, liquefaction, and carbonization are discussed with reference to properties of the coals, and five different coal conversion processes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the total reflectance-frequency distribution is used to separate reactive and inert constituents in seam coal and the portions thus derived are correlated with the degree of hydrogenation of seam coal.
