TL;DR: A solar submillimeter telescope (SST) was installed in the El Leoncito site, Argentina Andes as mentioned in this paper, which has a 1.5 m radome-enclosed cassegrain antenna and arrays of four 212 GHz and two 405 GHz radiometers placed in the focal plane.
Abstract: A new and unique solar submillimeter telescope (SST) was installed in the El Leoncito site, Argentina Andes. It has a 1.5 m radome-enclosed cassegrain antenna, and arrays of four 212 GHz and two 405 GHz radiometers placed in the focal plane. We present a brief technical description of the system, preliminary results on its performance, the atmospheric opacity measured at the site, and the first detection of solar flare submm-wave emissions.

TL;DR: In this paper, an open end of a waveguide is used as the primary radiator in the antenna cavity, and the waveguide intrudes into the cavity from behind the larger reflector plate.
Abstract: A high-frequency waveguide feed in combination with a short-backfire antenna having a cavity and multiple reflectors to permit high power handling capabilities and high frequency applications. An open end of a waveguide is used as the primary radiator in the antenna cavity. The waveguide intrudes into the cavity from behind the larger reflector plate. The polarization response of the antenna is determined by the type of waveguide chosen.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for designing a shaped dual reflector antenna comprising the initial selection of a hyperboloidal or ellipsoidal reflective surface profile for the main reflector such that the cross-polarization of the contoured output RF signal beam of the resulting antenna structure is reduced.

TL;DR: In this paper, a broadband antenna system of small dimensions and composed of at least one antenna having an associated design operating frequency, and a plurality of reflectors operatively associated with the antenna and disposed at respectively different distances therefrom, each reflector being spaced from the antenna with a reflection characteristic to be optimally matched to the antenna for operation at a respective partial frequency band, each reflecting node associated with a different partial band such that the total operating frequency range of the system is divided into a plurality.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the performance of multimode feed horns with reflector assembly for radar systems, where ground moving target indicator (GMTI) mode implementation is desired. But the results of the investigation were limited.
Abstract: The investigation results of multimode feed horns are presented, which provide multi-phase centre radiation performance with the reflector. These feed horns with reflector assembly are suitable for radar systems, where ground moving target indicator (GMTI) mode implementation is desired. The simulations were carried out using Ansoft Corporation's HFSS v8.5 for feed horn, and Ticra's GRASP v7.0 for the reflector.
