TL;DR: In this paper , the centroid for each plane is calculated, layer by layer, from the top down, until the α = 0 plane is reached, and then the centroids obtained for each planes are aggregated to obtain a type-1 fuzzy set, which form the Centroid of general type-2 fuzzy set.

TL;DR: This paper proposes to enhance the Malguki with a simple range-free Centroid localization algorithm, which intentionally obtains initial positions of unknown nodes in iteration by Centroid algorithm.
Abstract: Usually, in mobile server cloud computing (MSCC) environments, there exist enormous sensors conducting various tasks. Localization of sensor nodes using the technologies in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is critical to both cloud infrastructure operations and most applications. Specifically, in WSN, Malguki (the method's name, Malguki, means 'spring') is an effective range-based algorithm which can compute the location of a node using noisy distance estimations. However, through simulation, we found that, in original Malguki algorithm that uses an iterative process to locate unknown nodes, the initial positions of unknown nodes in iteration are evenly and randomly selected, which may cause large average localization error. Considering the mentioned weak point, this paper proposes to enhance the Malguki with a simple range-free Centroid localization algorithm, which intentionally obtains initial positions of unknown nodes in iteration by Centroid algorithm. Simulation results show that the integration of range-based and range-free localization algorithm, Centroid Malguki always performs better than original Malguki algorithm.

TL;DR: In this article, a unified template matching technique was proposed to provide an adequate matching position even in an image with a distorted pattern shape and a variation in edge intensity, where the candidates were then re-sorted based on candidate positions and correlation values newly obtained.
Abstract: The present invention provides a unified template matching technique which allows an adequate matching position to be provided even in an image with a distorted pattern shape and a variation in edge intensity. A correlation value contribution rate map is created for the vicinity of each of top candidate positions obtained by applying a centroid distance filter to a normalized correlation map resulting from template matching. A corrected intensity image is created from the correlation value contribution rate maps. Luminance correction is performed based on the corrected intensity image. Local matching is performed again on the vicinity of each candidate position. The candidates are then re-sorted based on candidate positions and correlation values newly obtained. Thus, even in an image with a distorted pattern shape and a variation in edge intensity, an adequate matching position can be provided in a unified manner.

TL;DR: The numerical implementation of the centroid molecular dynamics quantum simulation method for condensed matter systems is described in detail and specific attention is given to various algorithms for CMD integration.
Abstract: The numerical implementation of the centroid molecular dynamics (CMD) quantum simulation method for condensed matter systems is described in detail. Specific attention is given to various algorithms for CMD integration, as well as to its implementation on parallel computer architectures. Representative applications are also described.
