TL;DR: The value obtained from the "centroid" method tell us the strength of relationship between the generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets and the whether the generalized intuitional fuzzy sets are positively or negatively related.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a method to calculate the correlation coefficient of generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets by means of \"centroid\". The value which obtained from this method tell us the strength of relationship between the generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets [11] and the whether the generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets are positively or negatively related. This method looks better than previous methods which only evaluated the strength of relation. Furthermore, we extended the \"centroid\" method to interval-valued generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The value of the correlation coefficient between interval-valued generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets lies in the interval [-1, 1], as computed from our formula.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the incenter of an orthocentric simplex of any dimension lies on its Euler line if and only if this simplex can be expressed as the join of two regular simplices, with all edges connecting the two corresponding components having the same length.
Abstract: It is well known that the incenter of a Euclidean triangle lies on its Euler line connecting the centroid and the circumcenter if and only if the triangle is isosceles. The analogue of this result in higher dimensions is studied for orthocentric simplices. It is shown that the incenter of an orthocentric simplex of any dimension lies on its Euler line if and only if this simplex can be expressed as the join of two regular simplices, with all edges connecting the two corresponding components having the same length. These are precisely the orthocentric simplices whose group of isometries has as fixed point set a line (or a point, in the special case of a regular simplex).

28 Jun 2009TL;DR: Experimental results show that the proposed video fingerprinting method satisfies the requirements of video fingerprint, and performance comparison with other methods in terms of receiver operating characteristic indicates that the suggested method is more robust and has better discriminatory property than others.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a video fingerprinting method based on the orientation of luminance centroid. To attain robustness against frame rate change, variation in color characteristics and resizing, video frames are normalized in time, spatial and color domain. Thereafter, the orientation of luminance centroid is calculated as as video fingerprint. Under various distortions, the proposed method is evaluated and compared with other centroid-based methods. Experimental results show that the proposed method satisfies the requirements of video fingerprint, and performance comparison with other methods in terms of receiver operating characteristic indicates that the proposed method is more robust and has better discriminatory property than others.

TL;DR: In this paper, a codebook populating method for a split vector quantizer relies on comparing centroid calculations for the first codebook and the results of the centroid pair codeword calculations are used to populate the second codebook.
Abstract: First and second codeword are selected from respective first and second codebooks having an equal number of codewords and wherein the first and second codewords represent unequal numbers of elements of respective first and second sub-vectors. A codebook populating method for a split vector quantizer relies on comparing centroid calculations for the first codebook. The calculations are performed on eligible pairs of codewords. Eligible codewords are limited to those which satisfy and ordered property based on Line Spectrum Frequencies (LSF). The results of the centroid pair codeword calculations are used to populate the second codebook.
