Abstract: In a cellular mobile radio network in which subscriber monitoring areas are provided to which one subscriber management computer is in each case permanently assigned, dynamic channel allocations are performed decentrally by the subscriber management computers as parallel processing operations in addition to the operations relating to subscriber management, each subscriber management computer in each case processing the dynamic channel requests of the area comprising those radio cells for whose subscriber monitoring it is responsible; requests and acknowledgements to the radio cells are performed using the same procedures which are also provided for subscriber location monitoring.
