TL;DR: A survey on the three subprocesses in the chatbot architecture: text processing, semantic understanding, and response generation, conducted with classification of chatbot evaluation methods and their analysis according to chatbot types and three main evaluation schemes; content evaluation, user satisfaction, and chat function.
Abstract: Nowadays chatbots have been widely adopted in many industries to automatically answer users' questions and requests via chat interfaces. While it has become much easier to develop a chatbot system, the system itself is a complex system in nature. It is a challenge to evaluate and compare various chatbot systems in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, goal achievability, and the ability to satisfy users. This paper presents a survey, starting from literature review, chatbot architecture, evaluation methods/criteria, and comparison of evaluation methods. Focused on the three subprocesses in the chatbot architecture: text processing, semantic understanding, and response generation. Moreover, the survey is conducted with classification of chatbot evaluation methods and their analysis according to chatbot types and three main evaluation schemes; content evaluation, user satisfaction, and chat function.

TL;DR: The idea is to create a medical chatbot using Artificial Intelligence that can diagnose the disease and provide basic details about the disease before consulting a doctor to reduce healthcare costs and improve accessibility to medical knowledge through medical chat bot.
Abstract: Healthcare is very important to lead a good life. However, it is very difficult to obtain the consultation with the doctor for every health problem. The idea is to create a medical chatbot using Artificial Intelligence that can diagnose the disease and provide basic details about the disease before consulting a doctor. This will help to reduce healthcare costs and improve accessibility to medical knowledge through medical chatbot. The chatbots are computer programs that use natural language to interact with users. The chatbot stores the data in the database to identify the sentence keywords and to make a query decision and answer the question. Ranking and sentence similarity calculation is performed using n-gram, TFIDF and cosine similarity. The score will be obtained for each sentence from the given input sentence and more similar sentences will be obtained for the query given. The third party, the expert program, handles the question presented to the bot that is not understood or is not present in the database.

TL;DR: This research is to find out the factors which affect the adoption of Chatbot technology in order to enhance the student learning experience in the Indian higher education sector and help Chatbot developers and higher education providers to better understand the requirements of students while providing an interactive learning and communication platform for them.
Abstract: Today, every organisation depends on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the efficient service delivery and cost-effective application of technological resources. With growing preference towards faster services and acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based tools in business operations globally as well as in India, the global Chatbot market is going to accelerate in the next decade. In the era of AI, the Chatbot market is witnessing extraordinary growth with the increased demand for smartphones and increased use of messaging applications. In the past few years, the food delivery business, finance and the E-commerce industry have embraced Chatbot technology. One of the industries which can really benefit from using this technology is the educational sector. Education can benefit from Chatbot development. It can improve productivity, communication, learning, efficient teaching assistance, and minimize ambiguity from interaction. A new education platform can solve next-level problems in education using this technology as the engagement tool. The aim of this research paper is to find out the factors which affect the adoption of Chatbot technology in order to enhance the student learning experience in the Indian higher education sector. In this research, a Quantitative method is used through data collection from surveys of some of the prominent higher education institutes using Chatbot technology in India. It is expected that the research outcome will help Chatbot developers and higher education providers to better understand the requirements of students while providing an interactive learning and communication platform for them.
