TL;DR: Alkyd resins which contain critical amounts of tall oil fatty acid and phenylindane dicarboxylic acid (PIDA) in combination with trimetllitic anhydride and trimethylol propane gives a resin which is dispersible in water, yet has exceptionally high mildew resistance, strength, hydrolytic stability, chemical resistance, film hardness and excellent properties of fast drying and adhesion.
Abstract: Alkyd resins which contain critical amounts of tall oil fatty acid and phenylindane dicarboxylic acid (PIDA) in combination with trimetllitic anhydride and trimethylol propane gives a resin which is dispersible in water, yet has exceptionally high mildew resistance, strength, hydrolytic stability, chemical resistance, film hardness, and excellent properties of fast drying and adhesion. The resin may be deposited in an electrophoresis bath if it is first solubilized by the addition of an alkaline material. The resin is self-curing and dries in air to a hard, durable, glossy film which does not require to be baked.

TL;DR: A POLYPHENYLENE-OXIDE COMPOSITION this paper, which has a greatly improved impact resistances and excellent heat and chemical resistances, was used by OXIDATIXE COUPLING-POLYMERIZATION of PHENOLS in this paper.
Abstract: A POLYPHENYLENE-OXIDE COMPOSITION WHICH HAS A GREATLY IMPROVED IMPACT RESISTANCE AND, IN ADDITION, EXCELLENT HEAT AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE AS WELL AS DISTINQUISHED MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES IS OBTAINED BY OXIDATIXE COUPLING-POLYMERIZATION OF PHENOLS IN THE PERSENCE OF AT LEAST ONE POLYMER SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF ETHYLENE-A-OLEFIN COPOLYMERS AND ETHYLENE-A-OLEFIN-POLYENE TERPOLYMERS. MOREOVER, SAID COMPOSITION SHOWS NO TENDENCY TOWARD PHASE SEPARATION.

TL;DR: Coating or adhesive compositions containing copolymers of (a) 10 to 95% of a polymerisable ester of acetylacetic acid, where Y is a C2-10 hydrocarbon and R is H or CH3, this chemical stability is superior to that of other polymer/chelate compositions.
Abstract: Coating or adhesive compositions containing (1) copolymers of (a) 10 to 95% of a polymerisable ester of acetylacetic acid. CH3COCH2COOYOCOCR=CH2, where Y is a C2-10 hydrocarbon and R is H or CH3; (b) 5 to 90% of a C1-20 ester of (meth)acrylic acid and/or vinyl benzene and (c) 0 to 30% of another ethylenically unsaturated monomer; (2) acetylacetonates of polyvalent metals and (3) solvents, additives etc. - Hard, transparent coatings are obtained which are resistant to weathering and to chemicals including the parent solvents acetyl acetone and ethyl acetoacetate. this chemical stability is superior to that of other polymer/chelate compositions (BR 791, 325 and 807,198). - The mechanical properties and the chemical resistance are further improved by autoxidation of the coating and trace metals may be added as catalysts.
