TL;DR: In this paper, the initial stages of Fe and Si atoms interaction with the Zr(0001) surface were studied, and the (1×1) LEED (Low Energy Electron Diffraction) pattern of the clean Zr surface becomes significantly modified when the atoms are deposited and annealed at 400°C.
