TL;DR: Wieczorek et al. as discussed by the authors demonstrate how Auger parameter analysis enables more reliable chemical state analysis of Sn-based perovskites, which can be used to detect and understand aging of these compounds under ambient conditions.
Abstract: Resolving Chemical States in Sn-Based Perovskites In article 2201828, Alexander Wieczorek, Sebastian Siol, and colleagues demonstrate how Auger parameter analysis enables more reliable chemical state analysis of Sn-based perovskites. Through systematic compositional variation a high sensitivity of this parameter on the X-site composition and oxidation state of Sn-based perovskites is demonstrated. The latter aspect can be used to detect and understand aging of these compounds under ambient conditions. This approach can be easily adopted using standard XPS equipment and enables better reproducibility of results across laboratories. [Artwork by Alexander Wieczorek]

TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical formation of a stoichiometric III-V compound semiconductor of InSb from an aqueous citric solution was investigated under an optimized electrochemical condition.
Abstract: We investigated the electrochemical formation of a stoichiometric III-V compound semiconductor of InSb from an aqueous citric solution. Under an? optimized electrochemical condition, not like other research results, the electrodeposited InSb are satisfied exactly with the stoichiometry. Furthermore it retains the inherent characteristics of III-V compound semiconductor, InSb without heat treatment. EPMA, XPS and XRD were employed for confirmation of its composition/stoichiometry, chemical state, and crystallographic orientation, respectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the interaction of spectroscopically pure oxygen with the surfaces of 20Khl3 and 08Khl8G12N5AB steels, polycrystalline iron, nickel, chromium, and manganese was investigated.
Abstract: We show that ionization spectroscopy, in contrast to Auger electron spectroscopy. makes it possible to distinguish chemical states of every element in a composite oxide on the surface of a metal alloy. The interaction of spectroscopically pure oxygen with the surfaces of 20Khl3 and 08Khl8G12N5AB steels, polycrystalline iron, nickel, chromium, and manganese at room temperature is investigated. For a dose of oxygen of 10 mPa sec in the presence of oxidized iron and manganese, the atoms of chromium in a near-surface layer 1.5 nm thick do not show any signs of oxidation.
