TL;DR: In this article, a method for the determination of acaciin in Chrysanthemum indicum was developed, which includes extraction, separation and determination of Acaciin, and the procedure is as follows:Weigh accurately 1 g of pulverized sample, put it in an extractor, extract the acaciIN with methanol for 2 h on a boiling water bath, then concentrate to 10 ml.
Abstract: A method for the determination of acaciin in Chrysanthemum indicum was developed. It includes extraction, separation and determination of acaciin. The procedure is as follows:Weigh accurately 1 g of pulverized sample, put it in an extractor, extract the acaciin with methanol for 2 h on a boiling water bath, then concentrate to 10 ml.Spot exatctly 300 μl of this solution on a polyamide plate and chromatograph with CHCl_3MeOH-H_2O (9:1:0.1) as the developing solvent. Detect the spots under UV light, scrape the acaciin spot from the plate, put into the anodic compartment of an electrolytic cell containing the electrolytic solution, and titrate coulometrically using a suitable constant current. The results obtained by this method are in agreement with those by UV spectrophotometry.

TL;DR: The extracts of flower bud of Ch.indicum had antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus,Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Aspergillus flavus and Penicillium chrysogenum, and it had bactericidal effect on E.coli.
Abstract: Experiment was conducted on total flavonoid from flower bud of Chrysanthemum indicum with water as solvent by ultrasonic wave extractionSingle factor experiment and the orthogonal experiment were used to determine the optimal processing technologyDetermination of MIC of 7 common pollutant bacterium was by disc diffusion methodThe result indicated that optimal ultrasonic wave extraction technology of total flovonoid was as follows: temperature of 70℃,ratio of material to liquid 1:120(g:mL),duration of 40 minutes, yield of total flavonoids 1696 %The extract of flower bud of Chindicum had antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli,Bacillus subtilis,Staphylococcus aureus,Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Aspergillus flavus and Penicillium chrysogenum, and it had bactericidal effect on Ecoli,Bsubtilis,Saureus,ScerevisiaeThe extracts had better antimicrobial and bactericidal activity against germs than molds

TL;DR: The compositae plant extract of the present invention exhibits excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti cancer, and anti-obesity activities so as to be usefully used as a natural anti-oxidants, anti inflammatory, anticancer and antiobesity agent which can replace existing synthetic formulations as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity composition including a natural plant extract as an active ingredient. More particularly, the present invention relates to an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity composition containing a compositae plant extract as an active ingredient, wherein the compositae plant extract is selected from the group consisting of aster spathulifolius, chrysanthemum morifolium, chrysanthemum boreale, chrysanthemum indicum, coreopsis drummondii, and Rudbeckia laciniata var. hortensis. The compositae plant extract of the present invention exhibits excellent anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity activities so as to be usefully used as a natural anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity agent which can replace existing synthetic formulations.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of medicinal herbs and a pharmaceutical composition for hair loss and hair growth is provided, provided that the pharmaceutical composition has low skin stimulation, and is thus useful as agents for preventing hair loss.
Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a composition of medicinal herbs and a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention hair loss and the promotion of hair growth containing the same as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition has low skin stimulation, and is thus useful as agents for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. CONSTITUTION: A composition of medicinal herbs comprises (a) the water extract of Swertia japonica Makino, Chrysanthemum indicum, and Thuja orientalis leaf; (b) the plant oil extract of Rubia cordifolia L. var. Mungista Miquel (R. Akane Nakai)., Ganoderma Lucidum(FR) Karst, Cnidium officinale, Vitex rotundifolia L, fil., and Aconitum carmichaeli Debeaux; (c) ginger extract obtained by using alcohol or a mixture of alcohol and water; and (d) fruit skin extract obtained by extracting the skin of mandarin, lemon, orange, grapefruit with alcohol or a mixed solvent of alcohol and water, or the extract of aloe and garlic obtained by using alcohol and a mixed solvent of water and alcohol. The mixing ratio of a:b:c:d is 1-2:1-2:1-2:1-2(w/w/w/w).

TL;DR: In this article, the extraction and isolation conditions of essential oil were studied using the flower of Chrysanthemum indicum Lamb as the starting material with supercritical CO2 process.
Abstract: The extraction and isolation conditions of essential oil were studied using the flower of Chrysanthemum indicum Lamb as the starting material with supercritical CO2 process.Influences of extraction temperature, extraction pressure, and extraction time on the content of essential oil were investigated, and suitable conditions were determined based on the single-factor tests. They were as follows:extraction temperature 35℃,separation temperature 30 ℃,extraction time 90 min, extraction pressure 25 MPa and CO2 flow 30 kg/h.The yield of essentical oil was 9.7 % under above conditions.Using GC-MS analysis,43 compounds were identified. They were mainly terpen compounds and their oxides, hydrocarbon compounds, ester compounds and so on.
