TL;DR: In this paper, a safe collision avoidance system of a commercial vehicle consisting of a central control unit, radar, a front-arranged camera, a rear-arrangled camera, sensor set, a braking device and an alarming device is presented.
Abstract: A safe collision avoidance system of a commercial vehicle comprises a central control unit, radar, a front-arranged camera, a rear-arranged camera, a sensor set, a braking device and an alarming device. The front-arranged camera is connected with the central control unit through a front-arranged image processor, and the rear-arranged camera is connected with the central control unit through a rear-arranged image processor. The radar is connected with the central control unit through a CAN bus. The sensor set comprises an accelerated velocity sensor, a yaw velocity sensor, a steering wheel turning angle sensor, a steering signal sensor, a braking signal sensor and a gear shifting operation signal sensor. The braking device is an electronic braking controller and connected with the output end of the central control unit through a CAN bus. The alarming device is provided with a human-computer interface and comprises a displayer and a loudspeaker. According to the design, multiple information types are achieved, accuracy of information identification is high, the braking effect is good, forms of alarming are various, and therefore the good collision avoidance alarming effect can be obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, a collision avoidance system is provided which includes a sensory system to determine a driver's intended forward or reverse travel direction by determination of the driver's head and eye position.
Abstract: A collision avoidance system is provided which includes a sensory system to determine a driver's intended forward or reverse travel direction by determination of a driver's head and eye position. A controller is provided that is cognizant of a driver's recent transmission gear shift to a forward or rearward direction. The controller prevents movement of the vehicle upon a conflict with the driver's intended travel direction and recent driver's gear shift.

TL;DR: In this article, a new type of assembled ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) collision avoidance is proposed, which consists of double-deck, two-way, densely reinforced ultra high performance concrete floating boxes that are connected by high strength bolts to form the whole structure and are equipped with steel supporting elements to form a collision energy dissipation device.
Abstract: Ship-bridge collisions are one of the most common types of accidents, and bridge anti-ship collision devices are of great importance for bridge protection. First, a new type of assembled ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) collision avoidance is proposed in this paper. The main components of the device are double-deck, two-way, densely reinforced ultra-high performance concrete floating boxes that are connected by high-strength bolts to form the whole structure and are equipped with steel supporting elements to form a collision energy dissipation device. The device is self-floating in water, is strongly energy absorbing due to plastic deformation, has a high degree of toughness, is corrosion resistant, and so on. This device also benefits from modular manufacturing, efficient installation, and easy replacement of damaged parts. Then, in this paper, the main parameters of the new collision avoidance, such as the material of the internal supporting elements, the wall thickness of the floating box, and the reinforcement ratio of the floating box, are optimized. Finally, a performance analysis and evaluation of the UHPC collision avoidance for the Honghe Bridge in Zhuhai City are carried out by using LS-DYNA program. The numerical results show that the new collision avoidance has significant advantages in reducing the ship–bridge collision force, prolonging the ship–bridge collision time, and protecting the ship. The results show that the assembled UHPC collision avoidance system is very effective for protecting ships and bridges in the event of a ship–bridge collision.

TL;DR: In this article, a system for avoiding the collision of pedestrians comprises a sensor unit (100), a calculating unit (200), a determining unit (300), and a brake pressure output unit (400).
Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for avoiding the collision of pedestrians is provided to enable users to promptly respond to incidents by determining the collision possibilities of pedestrians using a vehicle speed sensor, a camera, radar, and an RF transmitter-receiver integrated in the system. CONSTITUTION: A system for avoiding the collision of pedestrians comprises a sensor unit (100), a calculating unit (200), a determining unit (300), and a brake pressure output unit (400). The calculating unit recognizes the approach of pedestrians on the basis of information collected by the sensor unit and calculates information about collisions and braking distances. The determining unit determines the collision possibilities of pedestrians on the basis of the information. The brake pressure output unit outputs the pressure of a brake using each wheel according to the pressure of the brake determined by the determining unit.
