Abstract: As the importance of military usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) increases, developing cost-effective UAV system is also being emphasized. In this paper, we integrated Predictive Ground Collision Avoidance System (PGCAS) used in military jet fighters into UAV to develop a low-cost flying safety system that can help an operator to concentrate fully on their missions setting aside the danger of ground collision. By adjusting the original PGCAS algorithm appropriate for fixed-wing UAV applications and constructing processor in the loop simulator using small flight control computer and X-Plane 10, we were able to show that the modified algorithm can give terrain-neighboring as well as safe ensured flight path.

Abstract: Various embodiments include methods, devices, and robotic vehicle processing devices implementing such methods for automatically adjusting the minimum distance that a robotic vehicle is permitted to approach an object by a collision avoidance system (the "proximity threshold") to compensate for unpredictability in environmental or other conditions that may compromise control or navigation of the robotic vehicle, and/or to accommodate movement unpredictability of the object. Some embodiments enable dynamic adjustments to the proximity threshold to compensate for changes in environmental and other conditions. Some embodiments include path planning that takes into account unpredictability in environmental or other conditions plus movement unpredictability of objects in the environment.

Abstract: There exists many shortcomings in automotive collision avoidance system, signal interference is very serious, which led to false frequently, this is an important reason why the perfect vehicle collision avoidance system is not consummate and widely popular. We study and propose a new solution of highway automotive collision avoidance, by the control of time the precise synchronization, interaction between the vehicle lane, speed, time, and other information, which solve the problem of signal interference greatly. Thus, his new solution provides a split-new thinking and research direction for highway automotive collision avoidance.
