TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a technique to obtain a repeatedly usable recording material capable of easily performing a color reaction and erasing through temperature change, wherein a composition comprised of an electron-donative color reaction organic compound, a phenolic OH containing organic compound or the like and an alcohol, an ester, a ketone, an ether, a thiol, a (di)sulfide and the like, exhibiting a hysteresis characteristic in a temperature range of not narrower than 3°C is applied onto the surface of the base to obtain the recording material
Abstract: PURPOSE: A repeatedly usable recording material capable of easily performing a color reaction and erasing through temperature change, wherein a composition comprised of an electron-donative color reaction organic compound, a phenolic OH containing organic compound or the like and an alcohol or the like is applied onto a base. CONSTITUTION: A coating composition comprising as a color reaction component a thermally decoloring material consisting of a uniform mixture of an electron- donative color reaction organic compound (e.g., crystal violet lactone), a compound selected from the group consisting of a phenolic OH containing compound (a metallic salt thereof), an aromatic carboxylic acid, a 2W5C aliphatic carboxylic acid ester, an acidic phosphoric acid ester (a metallic salt thereof) and 1,2,3- triazole (a derivative thereof) and a compound selected from the group consisting of an alcohol, an ester, a ketone, an ether, a thiol, a (di)sulfide and the like and exhibiting a hysteresis characteristic in a temperature range of not narrower than 3°C is applied onto the surface of the base to obtain the recording material. TL;DR: Spectral data in the range 320 to 700 mµ of the reaction products of 18 steroids subjected to the Zak color reaction were determined for possible use in identification and qualitative and quantitative determination.
Abstract: Spectral data in the range 320 to 700 mµ of the reaction products of 18 steroids subjected to the Zak color reaction were determined for possible use in identification and qualitative and quantitative determination. High extinction coefficients with characteristic peaks were found for a number of groupings.

TL;DR: The ninhydrin colorimetry was used to determine quantitatively the amount of the free amino acids in Nervilia fordii(Hance) Schltr is accurate, sensitive and reproducible.
Abstract: Objective Based on the α-amino acids and ninhydrin color reaction principle, the ninhydrin colorimetry was used to determine quantitatively the amount of the free amino acids in Nervilia fordii(Hance) Schltr..Methods The reference of leucine was defined as the standard solution and absorbance was detected at 568 nm.The method focused on how to find out and what was the optimal conditions for the color reaction which reflected the amout of the free amino acids calculated by lambert-beer law. Results The optimal coditions was as following as pH value of buffer solution used in the test was at 5.0 with the volume of 1.0 mL,the volume of reagent used in the test was of 2.0 mL,all the tests were performed at 100 ℃ water bath and lasted for 19 min,and then cooled for 10 min before the ninhydrin colorimetric test. Conclusion This method is accurate, sensitive and reproducible. It is charaterized by simplicity and practicability.
