TL;DR: In this paper, a body diode comparator circuit for a synchronous rectified FET driver including a sample circuit and a comparator is presented, where a phase node coupled between a pair of upper and lower switching FETs is responsive to a PWM signal having first and second phases for each cycle.
Abstract: A body diode comparator circuit for a synchronous rectified FET driver including a sample circuit and a comparator The FET driver has a phase node coupled between a pair of upper and lower switching FETs and is responsive to a PWM signal having first and second phases for each cycle The sample circuit samples an initial voltage of the phase node during the first phase of the PWM signal and provides a sum voltage indicative of the initial phase voltage added to the voltage level of the phase node during the second phase of the PWM signal The comparator compares the sum voltage with a predetermined reference voltage and provides an output indicative of an activation state of the lower FET during the second phase of the PWM signal The FET driver turns on the upper FET when the comparator indicates that the lower FET is off

TL;DR: In this article, an active power-on reset (POR) current comparator circuit creates a POR signal for resetting logic devices and masking reference startup signals during the initial power supply ramp of an integrated circuit.
Abstract: An active power-on reset (POR) current comparator circuit creates a POR signal for resetting logic devices and masking reference startup signals during the initial power supply ramp of an integrated circuit. The comparator circuit provides a logic level signal (i.e., the POR signal) that will actuate when a bias current is above a predetermined level as compared to another current. The predetermined level for the bias current is set by a ratio established between two resistance levels within the active POR current comparator circuit.

TL;DR: In this article, a comparator circuit performs at least three compare operations, where in each compare operation the comparator compares two reference voltages to one another and provides a signal to indicate which of the two reference voltage values is greater.
Abstract: A comparator circuit performs at least three compare operations, wherein in each compare operation the comparator compares two of at least three reference voltages to one another and provides a signal to indicate which of the two reference voltages is greater. A decode logic circuit in response to the signals provided by the comparator circuit in the at least three compare operations selects the median reference voltage from among the at least three reference voltages, and causes a multiplexer to transfer the median reference voltage to an output terminal of the mux.

TL;DR: In this paper, a parallel redundant RF power amplifier parallel redundant circuit employs three amplifiers, and the output from a comparator holds a 0°, 60° two-bit phase shifter in the 60° position.
Abstract: An RF power amplifier parallel redundant circuit employs three amplifiers. Under normal operation when all three amplifiers are functioning, the output from a comparator holds a 0°, 60° two-bit phase shifter in the 60° position. When anyone of the amplifiers or any pair of amplifiers fail, the comparator output causes the two-bit phase shifter to switch to the 0° position. The system holds the power output constant at one-fourth the value of each individual amplifier for single or double failures. Only one simple switching position operation is required.

TL;DR: In this article, a threshold comparator (2,3) with hysteresis is arranged to provide a reference signal (V c ) indicative of the zero-crossing of the sensor signal.
Abstract: The circuit comprises a first threshold comparator (2,3) with hysteresis which is arranged to provide a reference signal (V c ) indicative of the zero-crossing of the sensor signal (V p ). Also connected to the sensor (P) is an integrator circuit (4) whose output is connected to the input of a second threshold comparator (7). The latter provides an inabling output signal (V e ) only when the integrated signal (V i ) exceeds a reference signal (V 2 ) whose amplitude varies in a predetermined manner in dependance on the amplitude of the integrated signal (V i ). An inabling circuit (14) is connected to the two threshold comparators (2,3;7) and outputs the signal (V c ) generated by the first comparator (2,3) only when the second comparator (7) emits an enabling output signal (V e ).
