Abstract: This study aims to investigate two English language teachers’ perspectives on adopting a game-enhanced language learning intervention that was designed according to the PCaRD framework. For this purpose, a semi-structured interview protocol and researcher memos were utilized as data collection tools, and the data were subjected to thematic analysis. The results of the study indicated that the game-enhanced activities integrated into the curriculum were effective in promoting students’ foreign language learning and instrumental in helping students develop a more positive self-image about their foreign language abilities. Despite the time cost of preparing the activities bridging the commercial-off-the-shelf games into the existing curriculum and applying them in class and concerns about the negative connotation of video games, the PCaRD framework provides essential guidelines that teachers will find helpful for enhancing their students’ learning experiences and motivation for learning.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors established an evaluation index system of high quality development of rural e-commerce and analyzed the high-quality development level and main restrictive factors of rural E-commerce in China under the new development concept by using the entropy method and an obstacle factor diagnosis model.
Abstract: The high-quality development of rural e-commerce is not only one of the important tasks to solve the “three rural” problems and comprehensively promote rural revitalization, but also the internal requirement to implement the new concept of high-quality development and promote the quality and efficiency of rural industries. On the basis of clearly defining the connotation of high-quality development of rural e-commerce in China, this paper established an evaluation index system of high-quality development of rural e-commerce and analyzes the high-quality development level and main restrictive factors of rural e-commerce in China under the new development concept by using the entropy method and an obstacle factor diagnosis model. The results showed that from 2015 to 2020, the overall development quality of rural e-commerce in China showed an upward trend, but it still needs to be improved. The five dimensions of innovation, coordination, openness, green and sharing have different degrees of impact on the development quality of rural e-commerce in China at the present stage, which are as follows: coordination, innovation, sharing, green and opening. The main obstacles to the high-quality development of rural e-commerce in China are coordination and innovation. Researchers; the difference in Internet penetration between urban and rural areas; the upward proportion of agricultural products; regional difference; and industrial agglomeration are the main obstacles to the high-quality development of rural e-commerce in China. Finally, aiming at the main restrictive factors, this paper puts forward the corresponding development countermeasures from five aspects: innovation, coordination, openness, green and sharing.

TL;DR: In this article , the core aspects of urban shrinkage in the economic, social, and spatial dimensions are outlined, and the authors question whether the phenomenon is a catalyst to a new development trajectory of cities.
Abstract: For decades, urban shrinkage has remained a serious challenge, especially in post-socialist countries. Substantially, it is recognizable as a temporary population loss; this encourages the undertaking of a systematic review of the phenomenon—has there been any change in the urban shrinkage connotation in the past years? Empirical research examines the mechanisms that were disclosed in the literature during the first two decades of the 21st century. This paper outlines the core aspects of shrinkage in the economic, social, and spatial dimensions. The paper questions whether the phenomenon is a catalyst to a new development trajectory of cities, collecting a review of the terms attached to shrinkage itself. The analysis is based on a meta-analysis of the literature; it covers the papers and outputs of research projects that were focused on shrinkage from 2000 to 2020. The review leads to conceptual models based on the perpetual mechanism of the phenomenon.

TL;DR: The experimental data shows that the accuracy and recall rate of the international Chinese education online and offline interaction model based on few-shot learning both reach 70%, which verifies its effectiveness.
Abstract: Few-shot learning is a method to acquire learning ability in a small amount of sample data scenarios. This paper aims to study an online and offline interaction model applied to international Chinese education and teaching based on the few-shot learning method. It first expounds an overview of international Chinese education, including the connotation and characteristics of the hybrid mode of online teaching and offline teaching in international Chinese education, then designs an online and offline interactive model, and finally compares it with a baseline model and a traditional single teaching model. The experimental data shows that the accuracy and recall rate of the international Chinese education online and offline interaction model based on few-shot learning both reach 70%, which verifies its effectiveness.
