TL;DR: In this paper, a power delivery system for a mobile device is described, which includes a contactor and a plurality of first electrical contacts on the contactor device disposed in an interspersed arrangement.
Abstract: The invention provides a power delivery system for a mobile device. The power delivery system includes a contactor device and a plurality of first electrical contacts on the contactor device disposed in an interspersed arrangement wherein first electrical contacts of one polarity are interspersed with first electrical contacts of a second polarity throughout the contactor body.

TL;DR: In this article, a high-gravity vapor−liquid contactor (Higee) was studied under distillation conditions using a semi-works scale system, where the cyclohexane/nheptane test mixture was used at operating pressures of 166 and 414 kPa and under total reflux conditions.
Abstract: A high-gravity vapor−liquid contactor (“Higee”) was studied under distillation conditions using a semiworks scale system. The cyclohexane/n-heptane test mixture was used at operating pressures of 166 and 414 kPa and under total reflux conditions. Rotational speeds ranged from 400 to 1200 rpm. Data were collected on mass transfer efficiency, pressure drop, and hydraulic capacity. As many as six transfer units were achieved in a bed depth of 21 cm, with efficiency being directly proportional to speed of rotation. Models were developed for mass transfer and pressure drop, and the earlier packed bed flooding model of Sherwood, which includes a gravity term, was found to represent the vapor capacity of the contactor. Sufficient information is given to enable the preliminary design of a system containing a high-gravity vapor−liquid contactor. Because the test mixture has been widely used for conventional contactor studies, means for comparing high-gravity contacting with other methods are now available.

TL;DR: In this article, a contact structure for establishing electrical connection with contact targets is proposed, which is formed of a contactor carrier and a plurality of contactors, with an upper end oriented in a vertical direction, a straight beam portion oriented opposite to the upper end and having a lower end which functions as a contact point for electrical connection.
Abstract: A contact structure for establishing electrical connection with contact targets. The contact structure is formed of a contactor carrier and a plurality of contactors. The contactor has an upper end oriented in a vertical direction, a straight beam portion oriented in a direction opposite to the upper end and having a lower end which functions as a contact point for electrical connection with a contact target, a return portion returned from the lower end and running in parallel with the straight beam portion to create a predetermined gap therebetween, a diagonal beam portion provided between the upper end and the straight beam portion to function as a spring.

TL;DR: In this paper, the first and second power converters supplying electrical power to a multi-winding motor comprising a wind-up mechanism are switched off, and a third contactor comprising a short-circuiting unit is switched on.
Abstract: When there is a breakdown in either one of first and second power converters supplying electrical power to a multi-winding motor comprising a wind-up mechanism, a rescue operation can be safely and reliably carried out by using the remaining power converter. A wind-up mechanism comprises a two-winding motor having first and second windings, and, during normal operation, power is supplied to the first and second windings from first and second inverters respectively. When the first inverter has broken down due to excessive current, first and second contactors are switched off, and a third contactor comprising a short-circuiting unit is switched on. Consequently, both windings receive power from the second inverter, enabling the rescue operation to be carried out without causing vibrations.

TL;DR: In this article, the sensitivity to vibration on the hand was determined as a function of frequency, contactor dimensions, and contactor configuration, and distance of the contactor from a rigid support.
Abstract: Sensitivity to vibration on the hand was determined as a function of frequency, contactor dimensions, contactor configuration, and distance of the contactor from a rigid support. It was found that each of these parameters affects the threshold in a different way. In the frequency range between 25 and 640 cps, the absolute threshold as a function of frequency yields a U‐shaped curve that reaches a maximum of sensitivity in the region of 250 cps. The effect of the geometric parameters appears to be highly complex.
