TL;DR: In this article, a globalization model is defined which enables separating and externalizing translation-sensitive resources, and a content translation expert can then operate efficiently to provide translated content, and content designer can more easily focus on the task at hand using a resource neutral document format.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for improving globalization of document content. A globalization model is defined which enables separating and externalizing translation-sensitive resources. A content translation expert can then operate efficiently to provide translated content, and a content designer can more easily focus on the task at hand using a resource-neutral document format. Using the disclosed techniques, translation-sensitive resources identified in a structured document can be programmatically translated by resolving references to a particular supplemental document in which the translated content for a target language has been specified.

TL;DR: In this article, a computer program including an interface that may be used by a content designer to manipulate information stored in the database is described. Butler et al. present a questionnaire interface that can be accessed and manipulated by a client user to respond to the questions included therein.
Abstract: A computer program including an interface that may be used by a content designer to manipulate information stored in the database. The content designer may design one or more questionnaire pages, to be included in a questionnaire site, which may be built into a questionnaire interface program by a compiler. The resulting questionnaire interface site may be accessed and manipulated by a client user to respond to the questions included therein. Validation responses may be defined by a content designer, against which responses by a client user may be compared. The various elements included herein may be connected through a network, which may be accessed through a user interface terminal.

TL;DR: A Web-based authoring tool to create interactive multimedia contents for English learning and special language tools to access corpus, manipulate multimedia elements, and create collaborative learning sessions are designed in the system.
Abstract: We present a Web-based authoring tool to create interactive multimedia contents for English learning. Target users of this authoring tool are English teachers and content designer, therefore, ease of use and simplicity are the fundamental issues. Furthermore, the authoring tool and multimedia database are integrated in the context of intelligent Web-based interactive language learning (IWiLL) system. Special language tools to access corpus, manipulate multimedia elements, and create collaborative learning sessions are designed in the system. These resources and tools on hand yield the potential to create rich and deep interactive multimedia contents.

TL;DR: Issues about content management in mobile multimedia art guides elaborating on experiences made in three exhibitions held at Ca’ Foscari University since Spring 2009 are discussed.
Abstract: This paper discusses issues about content management in mobile multimedia art guides elaborating on experiences made in three exhibitions held at Ca’ Foscari University since Spring 2009. A family of mobile art guides on Apple iPod touch devices have been designed, featuring rich multimedia content and simple interaction styles. The guides are based on the Webkit run-time system wrapped by an iPhoneOS application interfacing an SQLite database for dynamic HTML generation and a gesture control system. A desktop application allows a content designer to configure, populate and maintain a database of multimedia material and to organize and select data components for the mobile guide application.

TL;DR: In this article, a content transmitter is provided with a recording medium 6, a content reading part 201, a reproduction information generation part 202, and a content transmission part 203, where the transmitter converts the reproduction information into a format corresponding to a communication system between the content transmitter and the content receiver.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a content as a manufacturer intends, even when reproducing a content recorded on a recording medium by another system.SOLUTION: A content transmitter is provided with a recording medium 6, a content reading part 201, a reproduction information generation part 202, a content transmission part 203, and a network communication processing part 208. When transmitting the reproduction information of the content recorded in the recording medium to a content receiver, the transmitter converts the reproduction information into a format corresponding to a communication system between the content transmitter and the content receiver. Then, the content receiver reproduces the local content as the content designer intends.
