TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to send each OFDM modulation signal at a maximum bit rate per a transmission frequency band by allocating a transmission band in a form that an adjacent spectrum is in contact with spectrums of each OFD modulation signal and locking a symbol clock phase.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To send each OFDM modulation signal at a maximum bit rate per a transmission frequency band by allocating a transmission band in a form that an adjacent spectrum is in contact with spectrums of each OFDM modulation signal and locking a symbol clock phase. CONSTITUTION:At first frequency intervals DELTAf1, DELTAf2 of a carrier of 1st and 2nd OFDM modulation signals are set equal. An interval fbfa between a maximum carrier frequency fa of a 1st signal and a minimum carrier frequency fb of a 2nd signal is selected to be an integral multiple of DELTAf=DELTAf1=DELTAf2. A symbol clock phase of a 1st OFDM modulation signal and that of a 2nd OFDM modulation signal are locked to each other thereby making ideally symbol switching position of the both coincident with each other. Then the setting above is made to set a value N of NDELTAf=fb-fa to be an integer being one or over, then a DFT window applied discrete Fourier transformation to the 1st and 2nd OFDM modulation signals, then the relation of the 1st and 2nd OFDM modulation signals is set to be a relation as shown in figure. Thus, no interference disturbance is caused between them.

TL;DR: In this paper, a synchronization scheme for synchronous control of four inverters feeding six-phase drive on the base of an asymmetrical induction motor has been proposed, which has two sets of windings spatially shifted by 30 degrees.
Abstract: Novel method of space-vector-based pulse-width modulation (PWM) has been disseminated for synchronous control of four inverters feeding six-phase drive on the base of asymmetrical induction motor which has two sets of windings spatially shifted by 30 electrical degrees. Basic schemes of synchronized PWM, applied for control of four separate voltage-source inverters, allow both continuous phase voltages synchronization in the system and required power sharing between DC sources. Detailed MATLAB-based simulations show a behavior of six-phase system with continuous and discontinuous versions of synchronized PWM.

TL;DR: A reasonable compromise for low probability of exploitation and jam sensitivity is found for a system where the chirp bandwidth is in the vicinity of the bitrate of the pseudonoise code.
Abstract: The combination of phase shift keying (PSK) with different chirp waveforms is investigated in respect to its signal form and spectrum shape. A reasonable compromise for low probability of exploitation and jam sensitivity is found for a system where the chirp bandwidth is in the vicinity of the bitrate of the pseudonoise code.

TL;DR: Iterative (turbo) decoding of a coded, interleaved continuous-phase modulated (CPM) waveform is presented and current simulation results show a 2.5 dB SNR improvement over trellis-coded CPM (TCCPM) with a 99% bandwidth efficiency of 1.24 bps/Hz.
Abstract: Iterative (turbo) decoding of a coded, interleaved continuous-phase modulated (CPM) waveform is presented. The transmitter consists of a rate-2/3 convolutional encoder followed by an interleaver, and an 8-ary continuous phase modulator. At the receiver, soft output a posteriori probability algorithms for the convolutional code and the CPM waveform iteratively refine their probability estimates. Current simulation results show a 2.5 dB SNR improvement (at 10/sup -5/ bit-error rate) over trellis-coded CPM (TCCPM) with a 99% bandwidth efficiency of 1.24 bps/Hz. The detector has a complexity of approximately 4.5 times that of the TCCPM system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus for accurately estimating the carrier frequency offset and the carrier phase offset of a digitally modulated signal using a signal processing algorithm to initialize the state variables of a phase-locked loop (PLL) is disclosed.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for accurately estimating the carrier frequency offset and the carrier phase offset of a digitally modulated signal using a signal processing algorithm to initialize the state variables of a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) is disclosed. A sequence of phase values is estimated from a received sequence of symbols and the angular effect due to the modulation format is removed from the sequence of phase values. A curve-fit algorithm based in one embodiment on the RLS algorithm is then applied to a sequence of unwrapped phase values to estimate the carrier frequency offset and the carrier phase offset.
