TL;DR: Based on the background of air and missile defense distributed element corporative engagement, the interception task allocation problem of multiple weapon units with multiple targets under network condition is analyzed and a mathematical model of task allocation is established by combat task decomposition.
Abstract: Based on the background of air and missile defense distributed element corporative engagement, the interception task allocation problem of multiple weapon units with multiple targets under network condition is analyzed. Firstly, a mathematical model of task allocation is established by combat task decomposition. Secondly, the initialization assignment based on auction contract and the adjustment allocation scheme based on swap contract were introduced to the task allocation. Finally, through the simulation calculation of typical situation, the model can be used to solve the task allocation problem in complex combat environment.

TL;DR: The processes and methods concerned with individual agent behavior control, cooperative solving of sub-tasks by agents in "Agent-Region" and solving of global tasks by agent in various " agent-Regions" in the distributed environment are put forward in the environment of the ABDIDSS.
Abstract: As the classical decision support system(DSS) can not satisfy the requirement of complex and non-structuring decision problems, the agent-based distributed intelligent decision support system(ABDIDSS) is put forward which consists of some ABIDSSes in the various "Agent-Regions" connected through Internet.According to the knowledge provided by the "Agent-Region" in the ABDIDSS,the cooperation among multi-agents is divided into task-sharing cooperation and results-sharing cooperation while the former uses contract net protocol to realize the solving of tasks and sub-tasks among multi-agents and the latter uses partial global planning to realize cooperative solving of tasks among multi-agents.The processes and methods concerned with individual agent behavior control, cooperative solving of sub-tasks by agents in "Agent-Region" and solving of global tasks by agents in various "Agent-Regions" in the distributed environment are put forward in the environment of the ABDIDSS.

TL;DR: The task allocation mechanism based on contract net protocol is widely used in multi-Agent systems in order to allocate distributed task and improves the versatility of mechanism through the dynamically selection of evaluation index.
Abstract: The task allocation mechanism based on contract net protocol is widely used in multi-Agent systems in order to allocate distributed task.Based on the analysis of the advantages and deficiencies of the contract net protocol, the task allocation model contains staged screening evaluation and negotiation between tenderee and tenderer is also proposed. It limits the mostly computing load in Agents of tenderee and tenderer and narrows the range of inviting tender and tender through the computable inter-evaluation between tenderee and tenderer. It improves the versatility of mechanism through the dynamically selection of evaluation index.

28 Dec 2009TL;DR: A coordination and control approach using an indirect coordination mechanism, called pheromone, which comes from the collective behavior of ant colonies for food foraging, to automatically find efficient routing paths for processing tasks and reduce communication overhead in shop floor control system is proposed.
Abstract: A coordination and control approach for task allocation is proposed in this paper, aimed at handling static task allocation and dynamic changes and disturbances. This coordination and control approach uses an indirect coordination mechanism, called pheromone, which comes from the collective behavior of ant colonies for food foraging. This approach has the capacity for task allocation model to automatically find efficient routing paths for processing tasks and reduce communication overhead, which exists in contract net protocol, in shop floor control system. An example confirms that a pheromone-based coordination mechanism has an excellent allocation performance in a static environment, and good adaptability to disturbances in shop floor.

TL;DR: Results showed that CHAA is a light weight management architecture which promises good scalability, and the results showed that the intrusion caused by bidding increases dramatically when the number of agents is large.
Abstract: As the size of the server cluster increases, management of clusters has been a daunting task. Traditional management architecture of cluster system fails in providing efficient management as the scale of a cluster increases. In this paper, a novel management architecture of a large-scale cluster system, called cooperation-oriented hierarchical autonomic architecture (CHAA), has been proposed to achieve an efficient management. We employed multi-agents to construct CHAA. Considering that the intrusion caused by bidding increases dramatically when the number of agents is large, we proposed hierarchical Contract Net Protocol (HCNP) to relieve the overhead. Generalized partial global planning (GPGP) has been introduced into CHAA to enable agents recognize their potential interrelationship and it has been combined with HCNP as the cooperation method of agents in CHAA. We made performance measurement on the traditional management architecture and CHAA, and the results showed that CHAA is a light weight management architecture which promises good scalability.
