TL;DR: A scheduling and cooperation mechanism for simulations with strict rotation is studied and can provide a certain theories basis and practice guidance for simulationswith strict rotation.
Abstract: A scheduling and cooperation mechanism for simulations with strict rotation is studied in this paper. The mechanism is designed from 2 aspects of scheduling and cooperation. The scheduling is studied based on the idea of project management. And the cooperation is studied and improved based on the basic contract net protocol. The complete process is designed at last. The designed mechanism can provide a certain theories basis and practice guidance for simulations with strict rotation. KEYWORD: Scheduling; Cooperation; Simulation Task; Work Breakdown

Abstract: Some problems of hierarchical control architecture of manufacturing systems are investigated. Distributed architecture and contract net protocol are applied to address these problems. A robustness assessment model for CNP-based job scheduling is built and used to compare with that of rigid job scheduling. The result suggests decentralized control strategy is suitable paradigm to realize robust control of manufacturing system.

TL;DR: In this article, a fog computing network task unloading method based on an improved contract net protocol and a beetle antennae search algorithm (BAS) is proposed to search for an optimal result.
Abstract: The invention discloses a fog computing network task unloading method based on an improved contract net protocol and a beetle antennae search algorithm (BAS). According to the method, firstly, an improved BAS algorithm combining a BAS and a genetic algorithm is proposed to search for an optimal result. The method comprises: firstly carrying out encoding and population initialization, then carryingout BAS process and updating, then carrying out beetle population propagation, and obtaining the optimal result after iteration is ended. In the fog computing network task unloading method, a task nodes publish tasks and collect bidding information in an agent or non-agent mode, operates the optimized algorithm to solve the optimization problem and obtain the optimal solution for executing the tasks, and finally divides the tasks into sub-tasks according to the optimal solution and distributes the tasks to the fog nodes. According to the fog computing network task unloading method based on the improved contract net protocol and the BAS, the tasks can be rapidly and effectively unloaded to the fog nodes, and the method is excellent in performance and easy to implement.

01 Jan 2014TL;DR: The theoretic analysis and experiments show that this new model of role collaboration contract net model can lighten the network, furthermore it can improve the efficiency of task scheduling.
Abstract: The traditional Contract Net Protocol model which works on Bids invitation between a Manager agent and Contractor agents can realize the collaborative task scheduling. But it also faces many problems such as the high network traffic and the low quality of task execution. Through analysis of the traditional contract net model, in this paper, the concept of role collaboration is put forward and introduced into the traditional contract net model and a new model of role collaboration contract net model is made. The theoretic analysis and experiments show that this new model can lighten the network, furthermore it can improve the efficiency of task scheduling.

TL;DR: This paper proposes an approach to program un-manned robotic vehicles at unit level and use them for a surveillance application using a variation of popular Contract Net protocol.
Abstract: Multi robotic missions requires extensive efforts by human programmer to program each robotic vehicle according to the changing situations.Un manned vehicles are mostly programmed at vehicle level that is, each vehicle is programmed individually before deploying them. This paper proposes an approach to program un-manned robotic vehicles at unit level and use them for a surveillance application. A variation of popular Contract Net protocol is used. As soon as a task is injected by the user, the master controller broadcasts the tasks to all robots, on receiving the task notification, each robot forms a bid containing its present parameters like position, battery voltage level etc and sends it to the master controller, the master controller extracts the parameters from the bids, apply an optimization function and would award the task to any of the robots.
