TL;DR: A new multi-agent system negotiation model based on expanded contract net protocol is presented and the design and implementation of it is introduced in detail.
Abstract: Multi-agent system (MAS) is an important research field of distributed artificial intelligence MAS negotiation is one of the key contents in MAS research Combining with traditional contract net protocol, acquaintance model, acquaintance coalition inner task allocation distributed optimization algorithm, bulletin board model of agent information exchange with different knowledge and agent mental state parameters, this paper presents a new multi-agent system negotiation model based on expanded contract net protocol and introduces the design and implementation of it in detail

TL;DR: In this article, the authors integrate a newly added partial task model into a customized task model by making a new agent join in a bid for a contract and making a bid arbiter agent evaluates the bid on the basis of the context that a studio management agent manages.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To integrate a newly added partial task model into a customized task model by making a new agent join in a bid for a contract and making a bid arbiter agent evaluates the bid on the basis of the context that a studio management agent manages. CONSTITUTION:The studio management agent 106 manages a history of task state descriptions sent out to a studio 100 as context information. The bid arbiter agent 107 performs bid evaluation by contract net protocol by using the stored context information. An interactive manager agent 105 explains the process of a context dependent process to a user and assists the customization of this process by the user. Agent groups 105-107 send and receive task states through the studio 100 by using a studio function group and the bid arbiter agent 107 evaluates the bid according to the context that the studio management agent 106 manages.

TL;DR: This paper focuses on the automation of supplier selecting by introducing Multi-Agent technology, presents the framework, evaluation system, evaluation method, functional structure of related agents and implements a prototype based on the designing of flow of the system.
Abstract: The task of the first stage for the manufacture enterprise to stock by negotiation on the web is choosing suppliers. This paper focuses on the automation of supplier selecting by introducing Multi-Agent technology, presents the framework, evaluation system, evaluation method, functional structure of related agents and implements a prototype based on the designing of flow of the system. The manufacture Agent adoptes FIPA contract net protocol to obtain the offer from the suppliers, adoptes AHP to evaluate the suppliers and choose the suited ones. This method can select suppliers for negotiation automatically and help the manufacture to make initial quotation.

TL;DR: Simulation experiments with real-world data have been extensively performed to evaluate the proposed architecture, resource allocation and decision fusion mechanisms, and the results show that the proposed MAS approaches are effective and efficient.
Abstract: Recent technological advances in hardware design and wireless communications, together with the availability of low cost microphones and video camera, have stimulated the emergence of wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs). This paper proposes to explore such novel approaches as inspired by multi-agent system (MAS) researches that conduct systematic investigation of interaction between autonomous entities. Within the MAS framework, a hierarchical WMSN architecture is established and swarm intelligence is introduced to facilitate its formation. Contract net protocol is employed to achieve efficient resource allocation among the sensor nodes for the purpose of intruding target classification. To make the best global decision, the mechanism of committee voting is exploited to combine all the individual decisions. The supervised machine learning techniques of Gaussian process classifier is presented for investigating the performance of the proposed hierarchical WMSN architecture. Simulation experiments with real-world data have been extensively performed to evaluate the proposed architecture, resource allocation and decision fusion mechanisms, and the results show that the proposed MAS approaches are effective and efficient.

TL;DR: The contract net model is used for distributed problem solving and task allocation in application systems based on agent and the strategy of negation based on task acquaintance can reduce cost of communication, and can compute effectively during negotiation.
Abstract: The contract net model is used for distributed problem solving and task allocation in application systems based on agent. To overcome several defects in solving real problem, a concept of task acquaintance is introduced, then a extention of the contract net model is presented, which chooses strategy dynamically during negotiation. The strategy of negation based on task acquaintance can reduce cost of communication, and can compute effectively during negotiation.
