TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the risk factors for teachers' job burnout, such as demographic variables, perception of external stress variables and personality variables by adopting logistic regression methods, and explored the reciprocal relationships among job stress, job burn out, action control, and action control strategies with the theory of personality system interaction by using SEM.
Abstract: Although amounts of theories have been raised to explain the mechanism of job burnout, they all elaborated it from the view of mental contents. Fewer researches illustrated it from a holistic perspective, but the theory of personality systems interactions combined all the mental contents as a whole. Based on an investigation of322 rural teachers in elementary and secondary schools, this study firstly investigated the risk factors for teachers' job burnout, such as demographic variables, perception of external stress variables and personality variables by adopting logistic regression methods, and then explored the reciprocal relationships among job stress, job burnout, action control, and action control strategies with the theory of personality system interaction by using SEM. The results are as follows: logistic regression analysis showed that 12 factors were closely related to teachers ' job burnout, such as technical secondary education, senior teachers, higher job stress, lower action control strategies as well as state-orientation. Moreover, compared with state-oriented teachers,action-oriented teachers suffered less job stress and job burnout, and they were more inclined to use action control strategies actively. In addition, action control and action control strategies had strong impacts on job stress and job burnout directly. And they also had intermediated effects between job stress and job burnout. The total effect was 72%. In conclusion,it could be demonstrated that if the medicates are effective, action control and control strategies are beneficial for diminishing elementary and secondary school teachers' job burnout caused by job stress. Compared with traditional single skill training, planning and constructing a special targeted training with PSI could eliminate teachers ' exhausted symptom well.

TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-sectional study in two variants: an online questionnaire and its paper version, were used to measure the impact of core self-evaluations, hedonism and eudaimonism on job satisfaction.
Abstract: Abstract Our paper analyses sources of job satisfaction. A cross-sectional study in two variants: an online questionnaire (n=642) and its paper version (n=635), were used to measure the impact of core self-evaluations, hedonism and eudaimonism on job satisfaction. To strengthen the dependent variable (job satisfaction) measurement, two sources for this data were used: the target person’s self-assessment and his or her significant other’s evaluation. The results show that the significant other’s assessment can be a valuable source of information on the target person’s job satisfaction. On top of that, hierarchical regression has shown that both happiness philosophies: eudaimonism and hedonism have predictive power over the assessment of job satisfaction based on core self-evaluations.

TL;DR: The authors investigated the relationship between parenting styles and children's core self-evaluation and self-congruence, and further explored the mediating effect of children’s core selfevaluation in the relation between parenting style and selfcongruance.
Abstract: We investigated the relationships between parenting styles and children’s core self-evaluation and self-congruence, and further explored the mediating effect of children’s core self-evaluation in the relationship between parenting style and self-congruence. The survey participants were 385 undergraduate students at four public universities in Shandong, China. The results show that the students’ perception of parental rejection and overprotection were positively correlated with their self-congruence, and that parental emotional warmth and students’ core self-evaluation were negatively related to their self-congruence. Further, students’ core self-evaluation partially mediated the relationship between their perception of parental overprotection/emotional warmth and their self-congruence. We determined that the mechanism of the effect of parenting styles on self-congruence was as follows: High levels of parental overprotection or low levels of emotional warmth reduce the level of core self-evaluation of undergraduate students, which further contributes to inconsistency in their self-congruence.

TL;DR: Based on a sample of 350 employees in the telecommunication and telecommunication, the authors obtained empirical evidence suggesting that while individuals high on conscientiousness tended to react more positively to job scope, those high on negative affinity tended to reaction less positively.
Abstract: Based on a sample of 350 employees in the telecommunication and telecommunication, we obtained empirical evidence suggesting that while individuals high on conscientiousness tended to react more positively to job scope, individuals high on negative affinity tended to react less positively Job scope was defined as the extent to which a job required the jobholder to be mentally and physically involved to get it done effectively Typically, a job characterized by a high job scope would be non-repetitive, would need a great deal of independent thought/action and training, would entail the job holder to keep track of his/her progress, and others The affirmative results obtained in regard of the moderating roles of personality factors in the present study suggested that job design researchers should further explore individuals’ personality differences in response to job scope

TL;DR: In this paper, the roles of job satisfaction and proactive personality in the relationship between the four Big Five traits and creativity were examined and regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses in a sample of 162 respondents.
Abstract: In this study, we examine the roles of job satisfaction and proactive personality in the relationship between the four Big Five traits and creativity. Regression analysis is used to test the hypotheses in a sample of 162 respondents. The results show that extraversion and agreeable are positively related to job satisfaction but openness to experience is negatively related to job satisfaction, job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between openness to experience and creativity. In addition, the study finds that proactive personality positively moderates the relationship between openness to experience and creativity. The theoretical and managerial implications are also discussed. Index Terms - the Big Five, proactive personality, creativity, job sa tisfaction.
