TL;DR: In this article, the mediating role of core self-evaluation (CSE) on the relationship between dispositional mindfulness and mental wellbeing has been analyzed, and it is found that core selfevaluation fully mediates the effect of dispositional meditation on mental well-being.
Abstract: This study analyses the mediating role of Core Self-evaluation (CSE) on the relationship between dispositional mindfulness and mental wellbeing. A sample of 184 Muslim students (Mage = 22.08) studying in the different universities completed the self-report measures of the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), the Core Self-evaluations Scale (CSES), and the Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (SWEMWBS). The collected responses are subjected to multiple regression and mediation analyses. The results revealed that dispositional mindfulness and core self-evaluations significantly predicted mental well-being. It is found that core self-evaluation fully mediates the effect of dispositional mindfulness on mental well-being. Moreover, it is also observed that measures of dispositional mindfulness, core self-evaluation, and mental well-being are indifferent with respect to students’ gender. Therefore, the study highlights the importance of core self-evaluation and explains a possible process by which depositional mindfulness enhances Muslim students' mental well-being.

Abstract: This study investigated the mediation effect of research skills proficiency on the relationship between core self-evaluations and research engagement among Master of Education students in Uganda. Questionnaire surveys including closed ended questions were administered to two cohorts of the students, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013, (N = 102). Results indicated total mediation effect of research skills proficiency on the relationship between core self-evaluations and research engagement. Implications for educational practice include careful selection and training of adult learners at master’s level on the basis of their core self-evaluations levels; individuals with positive core self-evaluations should be accorded priority entry into the programme. Implications for future research include carrying out intervention studies on how to effectively impart 21st century skills in the adult learners. Keywords: Core self-evaluations, Research skills proficiency, Research engagement, Mediation effect, Master of Education, Uganda, 21st century skills

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present preliminary findings of a research on job satisfaction in relation to a professional profile (the nurse), analyzing aspects of work that can be identified as antecedents according to their correlation with greater satisfaction as a whole.
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present preliminary findings of a research on job satisfaction in relation to a professional profile (the nurse), analyzing aspects of work that can be identified as antecedents according to their correlation with greater satisfaction as a whole This research has correlated the ideal aspects of working with these issues effectively, and subsequently correlated to the outcome of this comparison (mismatch) with the overall job satisfaction The survey showed frustration in the expectations of workers that have an impact on satisfaction, particularly as regards their ability to perform work consistent with their skills possessed, being informed of what happens in the company and the opportunity to have an estimated head

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors identified the structure of core self-evaluation and explored its relationship with burnout among Chinese college students, and found that collective self-esteem correlated positively with all three burnout dimensions.
Abstract: The objective of the present study is to identify the structure of core self-evaluation and explore its relationship with burnout among Chinese college students. One hundred eighty-four university students completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey(MBI-SS),Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale(SES),General Self-Efficacy Scale,Rotter's Locus of Control Scale, the Neuroticism dimension of Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ),and Luhtanen Crocke's Collective Self-esteem Scale. Results indicate that three of the four classic dimensions of core self-evaluation—self-esteem,general self-efficacy and collective self-esteem correlate positively with all three burnout dimensions, whereas neuroticism correlate negatively with all three burnout dimensions. On the other hand, locus of control fail to correlate significantly with any burnout dimensions. In three hierarchical models predicting burnout dimensions, collective self-esteem demonstrats significant increment variances of 2.4%-4.9% beyond four western classic core self-evaluation dimensions. The present study reveales an improtant component of core self-evaluation among Chinese college students:collective self-esteem.

TL;DR: This paper reviewed the history of research surrounding personality and values in the workplace, discuss recent contributions to the literature, and identify existing issues and areas of future research, and identified existing issues.
Abstract: Individuals' personality and values have important implications in the workplace and can be used in conjunction with other metrics to predict outcomes relevant to organizations, such as job performance. Instruments for assessing personality and values can thus be potent tools in hiring and promotion processes. In this article, we review the history of research surrounding personality and values in the workplace, discuss recent contributions to the literature, and identify existing issues and areas of future research.
