Abstract: The utility model particularly relates to a double-shell side U-tube heat exchanger which is applied in coking and fertilizer plants and other chemical industries and belongs to the field of heat recovery. The heat exchanger comprises a front end channel box, a tube plate and a shell side barrel, and is characterized in that a longitudinal baffle and a U-shaped heat exchange piping is arranged in the shell side barrel, the longitudinal baffle is welded with the tube plate into an integrated structure, and an arched baffle plate is arranged on the longitudinal baffle. The longitudinal baffle and the tube plate are welded to be integrally machined, and then are assembled with the baffle plate and the U-shaped heat exchange piping, thereby heat exchange tubes can be prevented from being expanded under high temperature so that larger thermal stress is not generated on the tube plate and the baffle plate; the structure is used to realize the complete countercurrent heat exchange after the heat exchanger runs, so that the heat exchange efficiency is improved and the operational flexibility of the heat exchanger can be more adaptable to the production requirements, and thereby not only being beneficial to improving the yield and quality indicator of anhydrous ammonia, but also reducing the energy consumption. The utility model has comparative simple and compact structure, low machining and producing difficulty, durability, good heat exchange effect and high efficiency.
