TL;DR: In this paper, a computer simulation is proposed for a specialized heat exchanger used in the medical field which provides thermal comfort to potentially hypothermic patients whose bodies can provide a very limited amount of body heat.
Abstract: A computer simulation is proposed for a specialized heat exchanger used in the medical field which provides thermal comfort to potentially hypothermic patients whose bodies can provide a very limited amount of body heat. The model describes the thermal performance of the heat exchanger using a one-dimensional finite difference technique and solving a two-point boundary value problem to obtain the solution. It was found that the model predicts the thermal performance of the heat exchanger quantitatively when compared with the experimental data provided. The errors in predicting the difference between infusate inlet and outlet temperatures experimentally and theoretically were within 10% of experimental values and it is concluded that the program can be used for future design purposes.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-stage spiral continuous countercurrent leaching device is described, where material conveying ends among multiple sections of machine grooves provided with a heating component and/or an ultrasonic wave component are connected with input ends in parallel end to end in a roundabout manner through an oblique conical spiral conveying and extruding machine.
Abstract: The utility model relates to a multi-stage spiral continuous countercurrent leaching device used for leaching active ingredients out of natural products (particularly traditional Chinese medicinal materials), and belongs to the technical field of extraction of Chinese traditional medicine. Aiming at the defect that non-interstage solid-liquid separation or interstage solid-liquid separation in the prior art is not thorough, the multi-stage spiral continuous countercurrent leaching device is characterized in that material conveying ends among multiple sections of machine grooves provided with a heating component and/or an ultrasonic wave component are connected with input ends in parallel end to end in a roundabout manner through an oblique conical spiral conveying and extruding machine, are communicated with material countercurrent solvents or solutions through liquid transport pipelines with liquid level differences, and extracted liquid at each stage can be completely separated from the medicinal materials as much as possible. On the premises of energy conservation and consumption reduction, compared with the prior art, the multi-stage spiral continuous countercurrent leaching device significantly improves the leaching rate and increases the yield.
