TL;DR: A video or audio steganographic model in which the hidden message can be composed and inserted in the cover in real-time and even if the warden discovers the existence of the message, he will not be able to recover it.
Abstract: In the well-known "prisoners' problem", a representative example of steganography, two persons attempt to communicate covertly without alerting the warden. One approach to achieve this task is to embed the message in an innocent-looking cover-media. In our model, the message contents are scattered in the cover in a certain way that is based on a secret key known only to the sender and receiver. Therefore, even if the warden discovers the existence of the message, he will not be able to recover it. In other words a covert or subliminal communication channel is opened between two persons who possess a secret key to reassemble its contents. In this article, we propose a video or audio steganographic model in which the hidden message can be composed and inserted in the cover in real-time. This is realized by designing and implementing a secret key steganographic micro-architecture employing field programmable gate arrays FPGA.

TL;DR: A novel secret-revealing system that directly embeds a secret message in an encoded cover image using the set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) technique and an adaptive embedding mechanism to increase the hiding capacity with little loss of image quality.
Abstract: In this paper, a novel secret-revealing system is proposed. The proposed system directly embeds a secret message in an encoded cover image. The set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) technique is employed to encode the cover image. The bit stream of a list of significant pixels encoded during the SPIHT encoding process is exploited to hide the secret message. The hiding capacity of each SPIHT encoding stage is determined according to the number of extracted significant coefficients. In addition, an adaptive embedding mechanism is designed to increase the hiding capacity with little loss of image quality. To sum up, three characteristics are achieved in this system. First, a secret message is directly embedded in a SPIHT-encoded cover image. Second, the compression rate of the cover image is adaptive. Third, the hidden secret message is extracted progressively during the SPIHT decoding process.

TL;DR: In this paper, a light vehicle with an engine, a movable mounted saddle-type seat and a storage box positioned below the seat is considered, where the receiver is disposed in one of the storage box and the seat so as to be protected from adverse environmental conditions, and receives the signals from the portable transmitter.
Abstract: A remote control apparatus for a light vehicle having an engine, a movably mounted saddle-type seat, and a storage box positioned below the seat, the remote control apparatus including a portable transmitter and a receiver, wherein the portable transmitter is provided to be carried by a user remotely from the vehicle, and is operable to send signals to the receiver. The receiver is disposed in one of the storage box and the seat so as to be protected from adverse environmental conditions, and receives the signals from the portable transmitter. When a signal received by said receiver is a predetermined ID signal, the remote control system operates to enable at least starting of the engine. Thus it is unnecessary to cover the receiver with a cover member made of a synthetic resin material as has conventionally been done, and accordingly the conventional necessity for re-adjustment of the receiver having the cover member applied thereto is eliminated, while still assuring reliable, water-proof performance of the receiver.

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of encryption keys are created based on a stateless subset cover scheme, where each user is associated with a leaf in the subset cover algorithm, and a group key management message can be determined at least partly based on the calculated subset cover.
Abstract: A combination of stateless and state-full techniques enable reduced overall key management messages. A set of encryption keys is created based on a stateless subset cover scheme, where each user is associated with a leaf in the subset cover scheme. A state key and a corresponding state representing a subset of users that have the state key and a subset of users that do not have the state key is established, and a subset cover based on information representative of the established state is determined. Finally, a group key management message can be determined at least partly based on the calculated subset cover. The introduced state opens up for efficient subset cover calculation, reducing the size of the key management message.

TL;DR: A new protocol that works in conjunction with information hiding algorithms to systematically improve their stealthiness is presented, which requires the existence of a heuristic detectability metric which can be calculated over any region of the cover object and whose value correlates with the likelihood that a steganalysis algorithm would classify that region as one with embedded information.
Abstract: We present a new protocol that works in conjunction with information hiding algorithms to systematically improve their stealthiness. Our protocol is designed to work with many digital object types including natural language text, software, images, audio, or streaming data. It utilizes a tree-structured hierarchical view of the cover object and determines regions where changes to the object for embedding message data would be easily revealed by an attacker, and are thus to be avoided by the embedding process. The protocol requires the existence of a heuristic detectability metric which can be calculated over any region of the cover object and whose value correlates with the likelihood that a steganalysis algorithm would classify that region as one with embedded information. By judiciously spreading the effects of message-embedding over the whole object, the proposed protocol keeps the detectability of the cover object within allowable values at both fine and coarse scales of granularity. Our protocol provides a way to monitor and to control the effect of each operation on the object during message embedding.

TL;DR: In this article, a system of deploying a washable vehicle cover that provides for the cover to be refurbished and re-used as a new cover was proposed, where the cover supplier inspects and repairs any damage to the cover, then washes the cover so that the cover is as suitable for re-use as a replacement cover.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system of deploying a washable vehicle cover that provides for the cover to be refurbished and re-used as a new cover. Specifically, the system of the present invention deploys a washable cover by first sending the cover to a vehicle manufacturer for protecting the shipment of the vehicles from the manufacturer. The manufacturer sends the covered vehicle to a destination where the cover is removed, and sends the used cover to the cover supplier. The cover supplier inspects and repairs any damage to the cover, then washes the cover so that the cover is as suitable for re-use as a new cover. Finally, the washed cover is sent to the manufacturer to repeat the cycle.
