TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the statistical distribution of driver glance times to two mirrors, four dashboard displays, and an outside-the-vehicle target, and the closeness with which the model approximated the data is presented in detail for one dashboard display.
Abstract: The frequency and duration of visual glances by drivers scanning the roadway scene has been researched. Recent studies have given statistical parameters of experimental data. This data allows the statistical distribution of driver glance times to be estimated based on an appropriate analytical model. This paper presents the statistical distribution of driver glance times to two mirrors, four dashboard displays, and an outside-the-vehicle target. The closeness with which the model approximates the data is presented in detail for one dashboard display. The details of the study are described, and the results are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a vehicle body is manufactured by controlling the relative position accuracy between the holes Wi and a reference hole Wb to be used as the positioning reference of the vehicle body and a seat piece Wa.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an assembling jig to be positioned by a simpler method in reference to the part assembling place of a vehicle body by forming a reference part for positioning in the bottom of the vehicle body, and also forming location holes for the assembling jig in the vicinity of the vehicle parts assembling place. CONSTITUTION:After a vehicle body has been positioned in a working station, an assembling jig 7 is moved to a prescribed assembling position being opposite to the dashboard Wh of the vehicle body, and then the jig 7 is moved forward toward the dashboard Wh to assemble a heater unit A into the dashboard Wh. Here, location holes Wi capable of being fitted to location pins 7a having been assembled in the jig 7 are formed in the dashboard Wh, and the vehicle body is manufactured by controlling the relative position accuracy between the holes Wi and a reference hole Wb to be used as the positioning reference of the vehicle body and a seat piece Wa. And, when the jig 7 is moved to a prescribed assembling position, the pins 7a are brought to the positions opposite to the location holes Wi; and when the jig 7 is moved forward from the assembling position, the pins 7a are securely fitted in the location holes Wi, thus the jig 7 can be accurately positioned.
