Comprehensive Digital Instrument Cluster for Vehicle Monitoring by Using Flutter Framework

Abstract: Engineers have considered many aspects on designing a car behavior before launching it, based on certain customer market. Different manufacture may have different concerns. Moreover, the longer being used, the performance may degrade as well. These two aspects are not visible to user except the one available on dashboard. Thus, judging car conditions is mostly done based on user feelings, which is subjective measurement and varies among human. For that purpose, this paper proposes vehicle monitoring system with quantitative measurement to provide consistent measurement. The measurement focuses on two observations; vehicle internal condition through OBD-II interface, and passenger comfort based on standalone sensors. The monitoring results can be used for prospective buyer and for performance monitoring from time to time. In order to provide a stylish look with comprehensive information, a comprehensive digital instrumentation cluster with flutter framework is proposed. Finally, the monitoring on real riding is provided and summarized at the end.

Method of fitting dashboard into vehicle has adjusters integral to the support tags and reached by a separate adjusting tool

Abstract: A method of fitting a dashboard into a vehicle shell during the assembly process has tags (18) each side of the dashboard aligned onto support brackets (16) on the door pillars each side of the dashboard. The tags are secured to the brackets by fasteners with integral alignment adjusters. These are reached by an adjusting tool (58) which moves the eccentric adjusters for accurate final alignment of the dashboard.

Low-Cost, Open-Source, Emoncms-Based SCADA System for a Large Grid-Connected PV System

Abstract: This article describes a low-cost Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for a PV plant with local data logging. Typically, SCADA systems that are available on the market are proprietary (commercial), which are expensive and individually configured for a particular site. The main objective of this paper is to design a low-cost and open-source monitoring solution (hardware and software) to meet the requirements. The hardware used for this SCADA consisted of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, serial communication cables, and an open-source web view platform. This open-source platform manipulates, logs, and visualizes PV and environmental data. Emoncms runs on the Debian operating system. Field instruments were connected to two remote terminal units (RTUs). A PV array provided data to the RTU1, while an inverter output provided data to the RTU2, and the Raspberry Pi received the collected data in JSON format. As these data arrived, Emoncms used Emonhub as its main module, which refines data and then displays it on Emoncms’s WebView. The Raspberry Pi also stores data locally. Data logging was tested for 6 h, but the final results showed that data logging can last much longer. From an hour to a year, the data trend can be viewed on a user-friendly dashboard.
