Abstract: The dashboard comprises a cross-bearer (1) and an instrument panel (17) attached thereto. The cross-bearer comprises a hollow section, into which pipes are inserted which are made of an elastic plastics material and which serve to conduct fresh air or conditioned air from a heating or air-conditioning apparatus (7), disposed in the middle of the cross-bearer, to the outer ends of the cross-bearer. The outer ends (24) of the pipes (13) are connected via connectors (25) to air outlet openings (19, 20, 23) provided in the instrument panel (17).

Abstract: A table adapted to be mounted beneath the dashboard of an automobile and which is movable between a retracted position beneath the dashboard and telescopic position projecting outwardly in front of the dashboard in a position ready for use, the table comprised of a supporting bracket secured to the dashboard, a table holder mounted in the supporting bracket for reciprocal movement relative thereto, and a table mounted in the table holder for reciprocal movement relative thereto such that maximum extension of the table from the dashboard is provided while affording a compact telescopic retractability of the table beneath the dashboard.

Abstract: An equipment console for use in a vehicle having a driver compartment including a dashboard, floor and driver seat. The equipment console has a console body for supporting equipment in a location accessible to a person seated in the driver seat. The front of the console body includes a front portion configured to receive and support the equipment. The console body also has a back generally opposite the front of the console body. The back of the console body may be integrated with the dashboard by providing the back with a profile that conforms at least partially to a contour of the dashboard. In addition, the console body may be adapted to cover an area of the dashboard in which climate controls were originally installed, with an upper portion of the console body being adapted to receive and secure the climate controls in a relocated position so that they may be operated from the front of the console body.
