TL;DR: In this paper, a pressure reducing valve is fitted to a dashboard panel by fitting a mounting bracket fixedly provided on the other side of the vehicle cross direction centerline of the dashboard panel, in order to avoid interference with a vehicle component disposed on one side of a vehicle cross-direction centerline.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily fit a pressure reducing valve of a fuel gas supply device to a dashboard panel by fitting the pressure reducing valve to a mounting bracket fixedly provided on the other side of the vehicle cross direction centerline of the dashboard panel, in order to avoid interference with a vehicle component disposed on one side of a vehicle cross direction centerline of the dashboard panel. SOLUTION: In a natural gas automobile 2, a pressure reducing valve 48 which is a regulator for reducing the pressure of high pressure gas fuel is connected to the other end side of a fuel supply pipe with one end side communicating with a cylinder master valve of a fuel gas cylinder. In the case of disposing the pressure reducing valve 48 in an engine room partitioned by a dashboard panel 60, a side panel 62, a side frame and a front cross member, the pressure reducing valve 48 is fitted to a mounting bracket 80 positioned on the other side of a vehicle cross direction centerline C of the dashboard panel 60 and fixed by a rivet, in order to avoid interference with a brake booster 68 or the like which is a vehicle component disposed on one side of the vehicle cross direction centerline C of the dashboard panel 60.

TL;DR: In this article, a vehicle theft deterrent apparatus and method includes a flashing light emitting diode (LED) placed in a visible position within the passenger compartment of a vehicle to simulate an authenticate, armed security system.
Abstract: A vehicle theft deterrent apparatus and method includes a flashing light emitting diode (LED) placed in a visible position within the passenger compartment of a vehicle to simulate an authenticate, armed security system. The flashing LED is powered by a DC power supply that is hidden behind a dashboard, under a carpet, in a glove compartment, or in some other remote, hidden location. An elongate, flexible conductor interconnects the LED and the power supply and is also hidden from view. The transverse cross section of the conductor enables it to be hidden at the base of a windshield or to extend through a small space between dashboard panels. The conductor is connected directly to the LED so that no housing for the LED is required and no holes need be drilled in the dashboard to accommodate a housing. A potential thief is deterred from a theft attempt because the only visible part of the apparatus is the flashing LED.

TL;DR: In this paper, the speed of the wheels is monitored and from the different responses of the driven and free running wheels the measure of wheel slip is calculated, which is processed with the actual speed and from it is computed a value for the braking distance for display on the dashboard.
Abstract: The speed of the wheels is monitored and from the different responses of the driven and free running wheels the measure of wheel slip is calculated. This is processed with the actual speed and from it is computed a value for the braking distance for display on the dashboard. The value can be displayed in digital or analog form and shows the driver immediately if he is going to fast for the road conditions, or if his spacing from the leading vehicles is too close. The whole control circuit operates electronically and takes immediate account of changes in road conditions.

TL;DR: A dashboard for a car has two displays with screens and a semi-transparent mirror in the housing that is inclined, covering both screens Picture-generating light beams from the screens are reflected backwards by the mirror as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A dashboard for a car has two displays with screens and a semi- transparent mirror in the housing that is inclined, covering both screens Picture-generating light beams from the screens are reflected backwards by the mirror A concave mirror behind the inclined one reflects the beam forwards The two displays are arranged in the housing so that two virtual enlarged pictures generated by the light beam can be seen from two positions in the car, corresponding to the driver and front-seat passenger The displays are liquid crystal ones The displays are near opposite edges of the concave mirror
