TL;DR: In this article, a torsionally stiff device is provided between the supporting frame and the dashboard or between the support and the airbag module to limit or stop the movement of the dashboard during unfolding of an airbag in an unfolding direction.
Abstract: The motor vehicle (1) has a supporting frame (4), a dashboard (2) and an airbag module (3). A torsionally stiff device (5) is provided between the supporting frame and the dashboard or between the supporting frame and the airbag module. The torsionally stiff device limits or stops the movement of the dashboard or the airbag module during unfolding of the airbag (6) in an unfolding direction (7).

TL;DR: In this article, a DSRC car-mounted device is mostly attached on a dashboard of a car and is downsized for not disturbing a visual range, and accordingly the number of switches disposed on a pane is limited, on the other hand, a number of functions to be included tends to increase, and the device is operated while driving, so that a function key system to be operated while being looked at or the like can not be adopted.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein: (1) A DSRC car-mounted device is mostly attached on a dashboard of a car and is downsized for not disturbing a visual range, and accordingly the number of switches disposed on a pane is limited, on the other hand, (2) the number of functions to be included tends to increase, and the device is operated while driving, so that a function key system to be operated while being looked at or the like can not be adopted and (3) accordingly, such a thing is required that permits allocation of multiple functions to one switch and permits operation thereof without being looked at SOLUTION: A push-button 5 is operated by hitting like entering a telegraphic Morse code, and different functions are allocated to respective hitting patterns beforehand A switch determination part 6 stores the allocated functions, and analyzes an inputted pressing pattern to determine a function to be allocated For instance, by realizing multiple functions such as a sound volume setting, history confirmation and accumulated history confirmation or a car-mounted device management number by one switch, a small and inexpensive DSRC car-mounted device is realized COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: The Canvas Discussion Analytics Dashboard (CADA) as mentioned in this paper is a teacher-facing learning analytics dashboard, which is designed to support teachers' roles in online environments through insights into students' participation and discourse patterns.
Abstract: Abstract Despite the potential of learning analytics (LA) to support teachers’ everyday practice, its adoption has not been fully embraced due to the limited involvement of teachers as co-designers of LA systems and interventions. This is the focus of the study described in this paper. Following a design-based research (DBR) approach and guided by concepts from the socio-cultural perspective and human-computer interaction (HCI), we design, test, and evaluate a teacher-facing LA dashboard, the Canvas Discussion Analytics Dashboard (CADA), in real educational settings. The goal of this dashboard is to support teachers’ roles in online environments through insights into students’ participation and discourse patterns. We evaluate CADA through 10 in-depth interviews with university teachers to examine their experiences using CADA in seven blended undergraduate and graduate courses over a one-year period. The findings suggest that engaging teachers throughout the analytics tool design process and giving them control/agency over LA tools can favour their adoption in practice. Additionally, the alignment of dashboard metrics with relevant theoretical constructs allows teachers to monitor the learning designs and make course design changes on the fly. The teachers in this study emphasise the need for LA dashboards to provide actionable insights by moving beyond what things are towards how things should b e. This study has several contributions. First, we make an artefact contribution (e.g. CADA), an LA dashboard to support teachers with insights into students’ online discussions. Second, by leveraging theory, and working with the teachers to develop and implement a dashboard in authentic teaching environments, we make an empirical, theoretical and methodological contribution to the field of learning analytics and technology enhanced learning. We synthesise these through practical design and implementation considerations for researchers, dashboard developers, and higher education institutions.

TL;DR: How autonomous vehicle research and development can be facilitated by open-source robot simulators based on the experience gained from a robotized KAMAZ NEO truck industrial project is demonstrated.
Abstract: With the widespread of research in the field of autonomous vehicles the value and impact of various simulators increase dramatically as they allow for quick and safe experimentation with the design of a vehicle, environment and driving scenarios. In this paper, the authors demonstrate how autonomous vehicle research and development can be facilitated by open-source robot simulators based on the experience gained from a robotized KAMAZ NEO truck industrial project. In particular, the Webots robot simulator was applied for 3D reconstruction of the experimental test-site for vehicle motion simulation and development of a web-based dashboard for controlling and monitoring the autonomous vehicle both in the simulation and the real-world.
