Abstract: In the on-vehicle display unit 5, an indicated image on an indication surface 51 a of the display 51 is reflected by a semi-transparent mirror 55 to be directed above a dashboard 1 through a window 59 b formed in a cover plate 59 a disposed on an upper surface 1 a of the dashboard 1. Thereby, the image is projected on a windscreen 3. The semi-transparent mirror 55 is moved in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, so that the vertical position of a projection point P1 or P3 of the image S1 or S3 on the windscreen 3 is changed such that the image is superimposed over the foreground at which a driver of the vehicle is looking. The cover plate 59 a is supported by a cover support construction 59 c so as to be movable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the upper surface 1 a of the dashboard 1.

Abstract: According to one example of the present invention, there is provided apparatus for displaying a dashboard display in a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a vehicle data bus interface for communicating with vehicle subsystems of a vehicle management system, a rules store for storing a set of dashboard display rules, and a dashboard display module. The dashboard display module is arranged to obtain a dashboard display definition, to determine whether the dashboard display definition is in compliance with the dashboard display rules; to obtain, where it is so determined, data from one or more of the vehicle subsystems in accordance with the dashboard display definition, and to display the obtained data in accordance with the dashboard display definition.

Automobile universal dashboard mounting apparatus

Abstract: A universal mounting apparatus to hold personal devices such as cellular telephones, walkie talkies, etc., by attaching onto a vehicle grill vent in the vehicle dashboard. This apparatus is not configured to any particular year or model of automobile or other vehicle, but is adaptable in several different ways so as to provide different attachment configurations. It is attachable without tools to most automobiles by use of two cable tie-like straps. One end of each strap hooks around a rib in the vent grill and the other end extends through a member which is held against a bracket, the feet of which bear against the dashboard immediately surrounding the vent grill. This allows the apparatus to conform to different sizes and shapes of vent grills while maintaining a firm connection.

Panel templates for visualization of data within an interactive dashboard

Abstract: Systems and methods provide a platform of at least partially pre-defined panel templates that a user can select and manipulate to customize the visualization of data of interest within an interactive dashboard. Each panel template may be defined by a developer in advance to include a set of inputs, a query, and a visualization. Users may select pre-defined panel templates for inclusion in the dashboard, and then when the dashboard is actually displayed, use the set of inputs of a particular panel to specify criteria that may further define the corresponding query and/or the visualization of data produced by executing the query. An electronic dashboard is provided having a combination of available panel templates that may be selected and arranged according to a desired page layout or design. One or more reusable panel templates may be provided to a user of an enterprise application for data analysis and visualization.
