TL;DR: In this paper, an anti-collision device in the form of a portable air bag which may be attached to the dashboard of any car is presented. But it requires no more effort to install than attaching the base to the vehicle dashboard, adjusting the angle, and turning the device on.
Abstract: An anti-collision device in the form of a portable air bag which may be attached to the dashboard of any car. The air bag (1) may be easily moved from car to car or left attached in a single car, adding the passenger side protection which was omitted by the manufacturer. The invention is independently powered, and requires no more effort to install than attaching the base (4) to the vehicle dashboard, adjusting the angle, and turning the device on. If desired, the device can be attached to the dashboard with Velcro® fastening material (12) or the like, allowing easy movement between multiple vehicles. The activating mechanism (5) automatically adapts to any angle of dashboard, and automatically triggers the bag on impact without need for manual intervention. The activation mechanism is disarmed when the bag is turned off and/or removed from a dashboard, eliminating the danger of false triggering when it is not installed.

TL;DR: In this article, an eyes up instrument having a transparent display is disclosed which is mountable on or above the dashboard of a vehicle to allow the instrument to be read by a vehicle operator without lowering his eyes to the vehicle instrument panel.
Abstract: An eyes up instrument having a transparent display is disclosed which is mountable on or above the dashboard of a vehicle to allow the instrument to be read by a vehicle operator without lowering his eyes to the vehicle instrument panel. The display of the instrument is transparent and therefore does not interfere substantially with the view of the operator. The compact design of the instrument and use of a miniature crossed coil gauge supported in the display itself allow it to be mounted unobtrusively on a dashboard even in applications where transparency is not required.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to mount the air duct on top of the dashboard for improved installation, better access to the fittings underneath the dashboard and for greater diversity in design.
Abstract: In the case of a motor vehicle having a dashboard (2) and an air duct (3), the invention proposes to mount the air duct (3) on top of the dashboard (2) for the purpose of improved installation, better access to the fittings underneath the dashboard and for greater diversity in design.

TL;DR: In this paper, the dashboard has an instrument panel mounted in a recess (2) in the dashboard and a shutter (7, 8) which is flush with the dashboard covers the recess designed so that it can be moved into a position which provides a clear view of the instrument panel.
Abstract: The dashboard has an instrument panel mounted in a recess (2) in the dashboard. A shutter (7, 8) which is flush with the dashboard covers the recess designed so that it can be moved into a position which provides a clear view of the instrument panel. The shutter can be pivoted upwards to expose the instrument panel and the recess can be formed by a tunnel contiguous with a lower section of the windscreen. The instrument panel can be a part of a multi-functional instrument or part of a projection surface on to which information is projected.

TL;DR: This study aims to design and test an extended corona dashboard, in which—beside up-to-date daily core data on infections, hospital and intensive care admissions, and numbers of deceased people—also the evolution of vaccinations in a country is mapped out.
Abstract: Since the outbreak of the corona virus in the end of 2019, many worldwide attempts have been made to monitor and control the COVID-19 pandemic. A wealth of empirical data has been collected and used by national health authorities to understand and mitigate the spread and impacts of the corona virus. In various countries this serious health concern has led to the development of corona dashboards monitoring the COVID-19 evolution. The present study aims to design and test an extended corona dashboard, in which—beside up-to-date daily core data on infections, hospital and intensive care admissions, and numbers of deceased people—also the evolution of vaccinations in a country is mapped out. This dashboard system is next extended with time-dependent contextual information on lockdown and policy stringency measures, while disaggregate information on the geographic spread of the COVID-19 disease is provided by means of big data on contact intensity and mobility motives based on detailed Google Mobility data. Finally, this context-specific corona dashboard, named ‘Dutchboard’, is further extended towards the regional and local level so as to allow also for space-specific ‘health checks’ and assessments.
