TL;DR: In this paper, a steering wheel having a rim or a hub, on the upper end of which a display device for displaying various pieces of vehicle information is mounted, to make it unnecessary to install a separate gauge board on a dashboard of the vehicle, thereby reducing production costs and weights of a vehicle.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a steering wheel, and more particularly, to a steering wheel for a vehicle (vehicle steering wheel for game), having a display device for providing various pieces of vehicle information (vehicle driving record information, engine rotation speed information, vehicle state information, static warning information and dynamic warning information) related to a driving state and operation of each device. The present invention provides a steering wheel having a rim or a hub, on the upper end of which a display device for displaying various pieces of vehicle information is mounted, to make it unnecessary to install a separate gauge board on a dashboard of the vehicle, thereby reducing production costs and weights of a vehicle. Moreover, the present invention can fundamentally prevent a glare phenomenon, which may be generated by the gauge board of the vehicle installed on a conventional dashboard, and can implement a vehicle with low power consumption due to the non-installation of the gauge board. Therefore, the present invention is suitable for an electric vehicle and a hybrid vehicle.

TL;DR: In this article, a covering element for covering an air duct on a dashboard in a motor vehicle is presented, which has two lateral air outflow areas and a loudspeaker area arranged there between.
Abstract: A covering element for covering an air duct on a dashboard in a motor vehicle is of one-piece design and has two lateral air outflow areas and a loudspeaker area arranged therebetween. Each lateral air outflow area is subdivided into a central area that can be connected to communicate with the air duct, and at least one further air outlet area, via which waste heat from electronic assemblies can be discharged.

18 Mar 1987TL;DR: A covering device for a parcel shelf, especially in a dashboard of a motor vehicle, comprises a cover which is connected to a guide linkage which, driven by a spring, swivels it upwards into a position parallel to and close in front of the dashboard as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this paper, a micro-dosing pump, a stopper, and a thermistor are used to detect the level of additive in the fuel tank and add it to the fuel in response to the level in the tank.
Abstract: A computer controls a pump for adding the additive to the fuel in response to the fuel level in the tank. This may be linked to the dashboard indicator. Addition of the additive is controlled in response to a number of parameters, including the stroke of the engine, the vehicle speed, injector fuel consumption, stopping of the engine and diagnostic information from the dashboard. The vehicle includes a fuel tank provided with a level gauge, and an additive tank mounted underneath the fuel tank. This contains a micro-dosing pump, a stopper, and a thermistor which is able to detect the level of additive in the tank. A computer controls a pump for adding the additive to the fuel in response to the fuel level in the tank. This may be linked to the dashboard indicator. Addition of the additive is controlled in response to a number of parameters, including the stroke of the engine, the vehicle speed, injector fuel consumption, stopping of the engine and diagnostic information from the dashboard. The system keeps permanent track of the quantity of fuel in the tank, and the consumption of fuel, in order to control the addition of the additive.

04 Apr 1996TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a dashboard with a front plate for the ventilation and defrosting system, channels (4-7) to the underside, and inlets (8, 9).
Abstract: The dashboard has apertures in a front plate for the ventilation and defrosting system, channels (4-7) to the underside, and inlets (8,9). It also has at least one recess (13) in which the holding device (19) for the dashboard can be fitted. This recess may go through to the underside of the dashboard. The underside of the dashboard is made to fit the top side of a casing (26) in which there are at least two air outlets (24,25) fitted opposite the inlets of the first channels, and sealed to them. The casing thus forms at least part of the ventilation system.
