TL;DR: In this article, a dashboard display is used to indicate the driver's choice of a system, and the change is confirmed by the display after a delay imperceptible to the driver.
Abstract: The control panel (7), mounted e.g. under the steering-wheel, has selector buttons (7a,7b,7c) allowing the driver to control any of several systems, e.g. radio, air-conditioning, navigating computer, etc., and actuating buttons (7d), identifiable by touch, for changing particular system operational settings, e.g. radio volume, tuning, etc.. Once a system is selected, a dashboard display (6), confirming the driver's choice, indicates existing setting values. Operating an actuating button alters the corresponding setting on the equipment, and the change is confirmed by the display after a delay imperceptible to the driver. Panel and display are connected to digital interfaces (5a,5c) on a calculating unit (5) which has a multiplexed bus connection (5b) with the associated systems.

TL;DR: In this article, an on-vehicle display device and display method that have high usability and can display much information by character or image in a range having less visual line movement of an occupant such as a driver.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display device and display method that have high usability and can display much information by character or image in a range having less visual line movement of an occupant such as a driver. SOLUTION: Vehicle information and external information are displayed on a front window display unit 19 disposed on the front window of a vehicle 100 by character or image and are dynamically moved. An image of a road surface imaged by a road surface camera 6 is displayed on a dashboard display unit 21 disposed on a dashboard of the vehicle 100 . COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this article, the airbag module has a housing set into the dashboard, with folded airbag and generator, and with a cover flap for the dashboard opening, which is held pivoted via a turning lever.
Abstract: The airbag module has a housing set into the dashboard, with folded airbag (26) and generator, and with a cover flap for the dashboard opening. The cover flap (14) is held pivoted via a turning lever (15), which is fastened in a pivot point (16) on the dashboard. The cover is moved guided out of the dashboard opening (11) into a holder chamber (27) defined within the dashboard. The folded airbag is positioned relative to the cover flap, so that during inflation the airbag presses against the cover flap and pivots it into opening position.

TL;DR: A new interface is presented—clicSAND—for OSeMOSYS, which shortens the learning curve and supports beginner energy modellers to perform long-term investment analyses efficiently and shows the results achieved by inexperienced users following a three-week training course.
Abstract: Energy models are crucial for helping governments and policymakers plan long-term investments in the energy transition context. One of the most established open-source optimisation models is OSeMOSYS—the Open-Source Energy Modelling System. This paper presents a new interface—clicSAND—for OSeMOSYS, which shortens the learning curve and supports beginner energy modellers to perform long-term investment analyses efficiently. The freely available and open-source clicSAND software consists of a user-friendly Excel interface for entering data, powerful solvers, and a dashboard for visualising results. The results, which extend to 2070, can inform policy decisions and mobilise financial resources for sustainable development measures—for example, ensuring affordable and secure energy supply and mitigating the effects of climate change. This paper describes clicSAND's main benefits, architecture, and functionalities. Furthermore, a South-African case study carried out by participants of the latest international capacity building event—the EMP-A (Energy Modelling Platform for Africa) 2021—shows the results achieved by inexperienced users following a three-week training course. Finally, current applications and future extensions of the software are also presented.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a combined indicator panel consisting of a dashboard and a transparent indicating panel, which is arranged in front of the dashboard, and a light intensity equaliser equalises the total intensity of the combined panel, between the covered and non-covered sections.
Abstract: The combined indicator panel includes a dashboard (1) and a transparent indicating panel (2), which is arranged in the front of the dashboard. The transparent panel covers a section of the dashboard. A covered section (3A) and a non-covered section (3B) are formed on the combined indicator panel. A light intensity equaliser equalises the total intensity of the combined panel, between the covered and the non-covered section. The light equalising system has an illumination unit (51-54), which is arranged behind the dashboard. At one section which corresponds to the covered section (3A) the unit has a greater illumination power, than at a section which corresponds to the non-covered section (3B).
