Abstract: The focus of this article is the aging of the world's drivers and the need and preference for personal vehicles to meet older drivers' mobility needs. After a discussion of changes in licensing and driving trends, self-regulation issues, declines in functional ability, and consequences of driving reduction, the authors examine vehicle design and advanced technology. They detail intelligent transportation systems (specifically advanced driver assistance systems and in-vehicle information systems) and briefly discuss a number of relevant design categories, including ingress/egress, seating comfort, visibility, cargo areas, dashboard controls.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors used two major health databases to extract unstructured data and generated a global dataset of SARS-CoV-2 events in animals, which presents harmonized host names, integrates relevant epidemiological and clinical data on each event, and is readily usable for analytical purposes.
Abstract: The zoonotic origin of SARS-CoV-2, the etiological agent of COVID-19, is not yet fully resolved. Although natural infections in animals are reported in a wide range of species, large knowledge and data gaps remain regarding SARS-CoV-2 in animal hosts. We used two major health databases to extract unstructured data and generated a global dataset of SARS-CoV-2 events in animals. The dataset presents harmonized host names, integrates relevant epidemiological and clinical data on each event, and is readily usable for analytical purposes. We also share the code for technical and visual validation of the data and created a user-friendly dashboard for data exploration. Data on SARS-CoV-2 occurrence in animals is critical to adapting monitoring strategies, preventing the formation of animal reservoirs, and tailoring future human and animal vaccination programs. The FAIRness and analytical flexibility of the data will support research efforts on SARS-CoV-2 at the human-animal-environment interface. We intend to update this dataset weekly for at least one year and, through collaborations, to develop it further and expand its use.

TL;DR: A dashboard indicator module including a rotating actuator including a hollow output shaft controlling movement of an indicator with a light conducting path, connected to a light source, diffusing a light at an angle, and a reduction gear set is described in this paper.
Abstract: A dashboard indicator module including a rotating actuator including a hollow output shaft controlling movement of an indicator with a light conducting path, connected to a light source, diffusing a light at an angle, and a reduction gear set. The external diameter of the conducting path is between 2.6 and 5.5 millimeters.

TL;DR: In this paper, a driving motion analysis apparatus consisting of a computer 12 and acceleration sensors 14, 16, 18 and 20 is used to detect abnormal driving motion of a subject such as a beginner or a veteran.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident from occurring by accurately detecting an abnormal driving motion and issuing warning. SOLUTION: A driving motion analysis apparatus 10 includes a computer 12, and acceleration sensors 14, 16, 18 and 20 are connected to the computer 12. The acceleration sensors 14, 16 and 18 are attached to both wrists and the tiptoe of the right leg of a subject. An acceleration sensor 20 is mounted on the dashboard of an automobile. The computer 12 detects the abnormal driving motion of a beginner based on the driving motion of a subject such as a beginner or a veteran observed when the subject travels in the same course by the same automobile. This abnormal driving motion is stored, and when the beginner drives his or her automobile afterward, the abnormal driving motion is detected, and warning is issued. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
