Network data access method, access gateway and system capable of supporting sensor

Abstract: The invention provides a sensor network data access method, and an access gateway and a system thereof. The sensor networks are linked via gateways and IP network systems to support access to sensor network data. The access method comprises the following steps: (a) storing target access equipment information in a gateway; (b) searching the target access equipment information by the gateway when the gateway starts routing the sensor data from a sensor network linked with the gateway according to target node information of the sensor data; (c) carrying out IP data encapsulation of the sensor data with the obtained target access equipment information and sending to target access equipment via an IP network; and (d) decapsulating the received IP data packet by the target access equipment.

System, method and apparatus to enhance privacy and enable broad sharing of bioinformatic data

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for enabling individuals to determine their sharing, privacy, and data access preferences and conditions for disclosure of bioinformatic data, including whole genome sequence data over a network. In combination with a privacy preferences repository and policy repository for expressing legal and institutional criteria for accessing such information, a private access bureau enables such privacy requirements to be addressed while simultaneously enabling broad sharing of such data by and with properly authorized parties or applications. Through the use of various forms of metadata, encryption, and globally unique IDs that accompany such data elements, discrete segments of said data can be queried; and where permissible discovered, accessed, analyzed, viewed, linked with other health data and contact details, used, and/or exported based on pertinent privacy laws, institutional policies, and the individual's preferences that are associated with, and dynamically controlled through, an intuitive user interface.

Rules-based data access systems and methods

Abstract: Methods and systems for rules-based data access are described. In some embodiments, a request for access to customer data by a requesting entity is received; the data is categorized; the person's preferences with respect to allowing access to data are compiled; a requesting entity is determined; and the providing entity that collected each requested data item is determined. Data shareability rules are evaluated based on the policies that regulate the access of the customer data, the customer preferences, the requesting entity, and the providing entity; and the customer data is provided to the requesting entity according to the evaluation.

Method and apparatus for controlling access to data elements in a data processing system based on status of an industrial process by mapping user's security categories and industrial process steps

Abstract: The security of data elements which represent an industrial process, which are manipulated by users on a data processing system and in which the industrial process includes a series of industrial process steps, are controlled by permitting groups of users to access predetermined data elements based on the industrial process step at which the industrial process is currently active. A user is prevented from accessing the requested element if the industrial process is not at an industrial process step corresponding to one of the industrial process steps for which the user has authority to access the data element. Thus, access to data is prevented based on the status of the data, in addition to the type of data. When selected database elements are associated with one of many locations, access is also denied to a user based on the location. Security access based on status and location may be provided in response to a change in the current industrial process step. Access authority to the data elements is changed compared to the access authority at the immediately preceding industrial process step based on mappings in one or more tables. Improved security of data elements which represent an industrial process is thereby provided.

Abstract: Trusted, privacy-protected systems and method are disclosed for processing, handling, and performing tests on human genomic and other information. According to some embodiments, a system is disclosed that is a cloud-based system for the trusted storage and analysis of genetic and other information. Some embodiments of the system may include or support some or all of authenticated and certified data sources; authenticated and certified diagnostic tests; and policy-based access to data.
