TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Lidar in 3D vegetation visualization using DCM (Digital Canopy Model) to control the location of every single tree. But they did not specify whether a coniferous tree, deciduous tree or grass should be planted inside the DTM triangles.
Abstract: Two applications of Lidar in three-dimensional visualization were proposed. The first one was single tree modeling. Regional-Maximum and K-means algorithm were used to isolate one single tree and its data points, and a SuperQuadric surface was fit as the silhouette of the tree's canopy. Then a geometric tree model was obtained with L-studio software. The second application was 3D vegetation visualization using DCM (Digital Canopy Model) to control the location of every single tree. DCM was calculated by subtracting DTM (Digital Terrain Model) form DSM (Digital Surface Model). DCM was a direct reflection of above-ground vegetation height, so it was used to determine whether a coniferous tree, deciduous tree or grass should be planted inside the DTM triangles.

TL;DR: In this article, the multidimensional features of the behavior habits of the user who provides gender information are collected as samples, and the sample set of the behaviour habits of a user who provided gender information is constructed; when the number of the features exceeds a preset threshold value, the sample classification is conducted on the sample sets according to the information gain rate of features for sample classification so as to construct a decision tree model forpredicting the gender of user.
Abstract: According to a user gender prediction method and device, a storage medium and an electronic device provided by the invention, the multidimensional features of the behavior habits of the user who provides gender information are collected as samples, and the sample set of the behavior habits of the user who provides gender information is constructed; when the number of the features exceeds a presetthreshold value, the sample classification is conducted on the sample set according to the information gain rate of the features for sample classification so as to construct a decision tree model forpredicting the gender of the user, and the output of the decision tree model comprises men or women; the multi-dimensional features of behavior habits of a user who does not provide gender informationare collected as a prediction sample according to the prediction time; and the gender of the user who does not provide the gender information is predicted according to the prediction sample and the decision tree model.

TL;DR: A forecasting tool based on identifying probability of disaster for each country in the world by using decision tree modeling is developed to help humanitarian relief agencies optimize the various resources allocation in emergency logistics planning.
Abstract: Despite the availability of natural disaster related time series data for last 110 years, there is no forecasting tool available to humanitarian relief organizations to determine forecasts for emergency logistics planning. This study develops a forecasting tool based on identifying probability of disaster for each country in the world by using decision tree modeling. Further, the determination of aggregate forecasts leads to efficient pre-disaster planning. Based on the research findings, the relief agencies can optimize the various resources allocation in emergency logistics planning. Keywords—Decision tree modeling, Forecasting, Humanitarian relief, emergency supply chain.

TL;DR: An improved algorithm called Collision Tracking Tree Algorithm is proposed, which updates query prefix using collision position by designing the collision position tree, the communication complexity of this improved algorithm is analyzed theoretically and three lemmas and a theorem about the reader communication complexity are presented and proved.
Abstract: Anti-Collision is one of the key problems in RFID system.Aiming at the deficiency of Query Tree Algorithm that the complexities of query and communication are increased due to adding prefix seriatim,an improved algorithm called Collision Tracking Tree Algorithm is proposed, which updates query prefix using collision position.By designing the collision position tree, the communication complexity of this improved algorithm is analyzed theoretically. On the assumption that the collision bits are continuous, three lemmas and a theorem about the reader communication complexity are presented and proved in detail. Finally, the performance of the algorithm is simulated by using MATLAB.The simulation results show that the reader communication complexity of collision tracking tree algorithm is better than the query tree algorithm based on the assumption that the collision bits are continuous. So,in the normal instance using the proposed algorithm can reduce the complexity of communication and save costs of the system effectively.

TL;DR: Unity3D - a common game development platform - was used as the implementation tool for the interactive virtual pruning simulation of fruit tree, including integrating 3D fruit tree and scissor into a virtual orchard scene, processing human-computer interaction and providing real-time feedback.
Abstract: This paper proposed an interactive virtual pruning method for fruit tree. In this method, Unity3D - a common game development platform - was used as the implementation tool for the interactive virtual pruning simulation of fruit tree, including integrating 3D fruit tree and scissor into a virtual orchard scene, processing human-computer interaction and providing real-time feedback. Citrus tree was used as an example to test the proposed method. We simulated the pruning in small fruit stage and fruit picking in matured stage respectively. Experiment results show that this method can vividly simulate the pruning process and render the morphologic changes in the 3D tree model after pruning immediately. Combining with pruning rules, Unity3D should be a convenient and easy to implement tool for demonstrating fruit tree pruning techniques, training famers and so on.
