Abstract: A generalized formulation as well as a simple design approach is presented for electronically steerable parasitic array radiators (ESPAR). Based on the presented design procedure, a low-cost rectangular dielectric resonator parasitic phased array antenna is designed. An E-plane linear dielectric resonator phased array coupled to symmetric narrow slot apertures is investigated. The driven element is mutually coupled to the parasitic elements and reactive loads are utilized to control the phase to achieve a particular beam scanning direction. The use of low-cost reactive loads instead of expensive conventional phase shifters allows for more economic fabrication. Based on this design, a five elements planar array is designed and measured. In addition, a large array using ESPAR subarrays is presented.

TL;DR: In this article, a stripline filter resonator structure is provided which exhibits high Q and results in a filter with low insertion loss, which results in more uniform current density around the periphery and thus undesired current bunching is correspondingly decreased.
Abstract: A stripline filter resonator structure is provided which exhibits high Q and results in a filter with low insertion loss The dielectric consists of two sections of dielectric material A groove shaped as half an ellipse is formed in each of the sections The surface of the grooves are covered with electrically conductive material The two grooves are aligned and filled with adhesive material to hold the two dielectric sections together An elliptically shaped resonator is thus formed in the center of the dielectric sandwich Ground plane layers are respectively situated on the outer layers of the dielectric sandwich thus forming a stripline resonator structure This unique resonator structure results in a more uniform current density around the periphery and thus undesired current bunching is correspondingly decreased

TL;DR: In this article, a method for the determination of the resonant frequencies of the whispering gallery modes of cylindrical dielectric resonators is presented, and a comparison with other methods is also made.
Abstract: Whispering-gallery dielectric resonator modes have shown their usefulness in millimetre wave integrated circuits. In the paper, a method for the determination of the resonant frequencies of the whispering-gallery modes of cylindrical dielectric resonators is presented. Theoretical and experimental results are given. A comparison with other methods is also made.

TL;DR: In this article, a non-contact power transmission device with a secondary resonance coil capable of delivering power between itself and a primary resonance coil, by resonating with a resonator provided outside and including the primary resonance coils via an electromagnetic field, is presented.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact power transmission device which is equipped with a secondary resonance coil capable of delivering power between itself and a primary resonance coil, by resonating with a resonator provided outside and including the primary resonance coil via an electromagnetic field, and in which the secondary resonance coil is cooled. SOLUTION: The noncontact power transmission device 101 includes a resonator 112, capable of either receiving power from the resonator 221 by resonating with the resonator 221 provided outside via an electromagnetic field or transmitting power to the resonator 221 by resonating with the resonator 221 via the electromagnetic field; and the resonator 221 includes the primary resonance coil 240 and the resonator 112 includes a secondary resonance coil 110 and has a cooler for cooling the secondary resonance coil 110.
