TL;DR: In this article, a prediffuser, immediately upstream of a dump diffuser for a gas turbine engine is constructed to have equal numbers of struts as there are fuel injectors in the annular combustor.
Abstract: A prediffuser, immediately upstream of a dump diffuser for a gas turbine engine is constructed to have equal numbers of struts as there are fuel injectors in the annular combustor The wedged shaped struts are disposed symmetrically about the annular diffuser The relatively large blunt trailing edge enhances the circumferential expansion of the discharge air dumping into the dump diffuser which achieves a more uniform temperature profile of the cooling air cooling the burner liner and its associated components, and avoiding localized hot spots

TL;DR: In this article, a diffuser for deodorizing products of the type consisting of an element provided with means apt to allow its application in correspondence with a vehicle vent-hole, the said diffuser showing openings for the inlet and outlet of an air flow apt to reach a deodorising product introduced inside an envelope consisting of a semipermeable membrane.
Abstract: It is herein described a diffuser for deodorizing products of the type consisting of an element provided with means apt to allow its application in correspondence with a vehicle vent-hole, the said diffuser showing openings for the inlet and outlet of an air flow apt to reach a deodorizing product introduced inside an envelope consisting of a semipermeable membrane apt to allow the passage of the perfumed oil molecules when it is reached by an air flow. Means are provided apt to control the said air flow which reaches the said deodorizing product, consisting of a bored disk placed in contact with a wall wherein there are openings for the air flow inlet, the said disk can be rotated between a first position wherein it closes the said air inlet openings to a second position wherein it opens the said openings, between the said base and the said disk for the closure of the air inlet openings, a plurality of ports being provided drawn in a diffuser wall and apt to allow the outlet, throughout the environment, of the air flow coming from the vent-holes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a flow rate regulation with an air lift pipe raising the sewage and supplying the air diffused from a diffuser pipe to the air lift, where a measuring, regulating and transporting device for transporting a prescribed amount of a sewage from one treating chamber to another treating chamber was presented.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply air to an air lift pipe by providing a measuring, regulating and transporting device for transporting a prescribed amount of a sewage from one treating chamber to another treating chamber and executing a flow rate regulation with an air lift pipe raising the sewage and supplying the air diffused from a diffuser pipe to the air lift pipe. SOLUTION: In this sewage treating tank, a part of the sewage, sludge, etc., in the first treating chamber is returned to the second treating chamber by interposing the measuring, regulating and transporting device 5 and a transporting pipe 7. The measuring, regulating and transporting device 5 is composed of vessel part 9 temporarily storing the sewage from the air lift pipe 2 provided vertically in the first treating chamber, and an inside of the vessel part 9 is divided with an inner partition plate 10 into the chamber 11 and 12. An air lift pipe introducing hole 4a of the diffuser pipe 3 is arranged at downward of a lower end part of the air lift pipe 2, and in this way, the water to be treated in the air lift pipe 2 is pushed up by an air lift effect by supplying a part of the air diffused from the air lift pipe introducing hole 4a.

TL;DR: In this paper, a diffuser can be used at the end of a vehicle exhaust system to receive exhaust gasses from a substantially vertically-extending component of the exhaust system.
Abstract: The diffuser can be used at an end of a vehicle exhaust system. The diffuser can have a generally hollow body with an inlet for receiving exhaust gasses from a substantially vertically-extending component of the vehicle exhaust system, and a substantially flat outlet grate through which the exhaust gasses are to be released to the atmosphere, the outlet grate being configured and adapted for use in a roof of the vehicle, in an aligned position therewith, with the hollow body of the diffuser positioned inside the vehicle and below the outlet grate.
