TL;DR: In this paper, the phase state of the pressure flow of liquid heat transfer agent is changed at inlet section of the heat exchanger in the low-temperature region of exit gases.
Abstract: heat engineering, applicable for combustion of solid, liquid or gaseous fuel in water heating devices of industrial, agricultural and domestic purpose. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that the phase state of the pressure flow of liquid heat-transfer agent is changed at inlet section of the heat exchanger in the low-temperature region of exit gases. The heating device has a device for combustion of fuel and a heat exchanger. The inlet section of the latter comprises an inlet chamber and an inlet mixing chamber separated by a partition with an inlet cavitator, inlet neck and an inlet diffuser hydraulically conjugated to the connecting section having successively arranged outlet mixing chamber, outlet neck and an outlet diffuser. EFFECT: enhanced coefficient of heat transfer from combustion products, mainly of low power-generating fuel, and enhanced efficiency of the device due to waste recovery of low-potential heat of combustion. 10 cl, 5 dwg

TL;DR: In this article, a clamp for a flash gun is provided which can be slipped on and off the gun and which has a slot therein whereby a bounce-flash reflector can be retained in said slot.
Abstract: A clamp for a flash gun is provided which can be slipped on and off the gun and which has a slot therein whereby a bounce-flash reflector can be retained in said slot. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a second, opposed slot is provided so that one slot is adapted to retain a reflector and the opposite slot is adapted to retain a diffuser.

TL;DR: In this paper, a lamp has a cup shaped base which is open at its upper end, a lamp socket mounted in the upper end of the base, a diffuser having a lower end threadably received in the base and a side wall and a top for defining an enclosed space for a lamp bulb.
Abstract: A lamp has a cup shaped base which is open at its upper end, a lamp socket mounted in the upper end of the base, a diffuser having a lower end threadably received in the base, a side wall and a top for defining an enclosed space for a lamp bulb. A lamp shade is mounted on a support is disposed at the top end of the diffuser and extends downwardly in surrounding relation to the diffuser. Set screws are provided for securing the diffuser to the base and the shade to the support.

TL;DR: In this article, a dispenser is provided for sprinkling a preset quantity of granulated material, such as table salt, over a desired area, where the collector directs the granulated materials to the diffuser that sprinkles the granulate material over the desired area.
Abstract: A dispenser is provided for sprinkling a preset quantity of granulated material, such as table salt. The dispenser comprises a granulated material reservoir, an enclosure, a metering cup, a cap, a collector and a diffuser. The reservoir has a side, a top and a bottom wall. The enclosure encases the reservoir side wall and is closed at one end by a cap adjacent to the reservoir bottom wall. The metering cup is positioned in the cap and an opening in the reservoir bottom wall communicates with and fills the metering cup. A collector is positioned adjacent to the top wall of the reservoir. A passageway formed between the reservoir sidewall and the enclosure communicates with the metering cup and collector. The diffuser is positioned adjacent to an opening in the collector and opposite the collector. When the dispenser is in the upright position, granulated material from the reservoir fills the metering cup. When the dispenser is inverted, the granulated material flows from the metering cup through the passageway to the collector. The collector directs the granulated material to the diffuser that sprinkles the granulated material over a desired area.

TL;DR: In this paper, the rotatable shaft of a gas diffuser carries a disk-like member defining at least one gas plenum having a porous wall out of which gas introduced into the plenum can pass to form nascent gas bubbles which are then sheared off by viscous shear forces exerted by the liquid in which the disk is rotating.
Abstract: A rotating gas diffuser for shearing fine gas bubbles from the surface thereof when the diffuser is immersed in a body of liquid and rotated therein. The rotatable shaft of the diffuser carries a disk like member defining at least one gas plenum having a porous wall out of which gas introduced into the plenum can pass to form nascent gas bubbles which are then sheared off by the viscous shear forces exerted by the liquid in which the disk is rotating. Preferably both the top wall and the bottom wall forming the gas plenum or plenums are porous. The ratio of the overall diameter of the disk to the maximum thickness of the disk in the gas diffusing area occupied by the plenums is at least about 32:1. Improved results are obtained when this ratio is at least about 48:1, more improvement is obtained with a ratio of at least about 64:1, and still greater improvement with a ratio of at least about 128:1. The preferred value of the ratio is at least about 256:1.
