TL;DR: In this paper, a low-pressure dryer dries a substrate applied a coating solution thereon at low pressure using a diffuser plate, provided as facing the substrate placed on the substrate table with a gap, for discharging gas existing in the gap toward outside.
Abstract: A low-pressure dryer dries a substrate applied a coating solution thereon at low pressure. The dryer includes an airtight chamber installing a substrate table to place the substrate thereon; a diffuser plate, provided as facing the substrate placed on the substrate table with a gap, for discharging gas existing in the gap toward outside, the diffuser plate having a size almost the same as or larger than the substrate; a substrate-temperature adjuster, installed in the substrate table, for adjusting a temperature of the substrate; and a decompression mechanism for decompressing the airtight chamber. The diffuser plate has a temperature adjuster for making temperature adjustments to have a temperature difference between a first region and a second region of the diffuser plate, the first region facing a center region of the substrate, the second region being outside the first region and including a region facing an outer region of the substrate.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a flat-membrane module for immersion-type membrane separators, where a spongy or brushy scraper was used to move vertically along with the water level between the membranes.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion-type membrane separator with a cake on the membrane surface efficiently removed. SOLUTION: Plural flat membranes 11 each formed by covering the surface of a membrane support with a filter membrane are arranged at regular intervals to constitute a flat-membrane module, and only the permeated liq. is sucked in from one or both ends of the membrane. The module is dipped in a tank 10, and a diffuser pipe 15 is set below the flat membrane in this immersion-type membrane separator. A spongy or brushy scraper 12 moved vertically along with the water level between the membranes 11 in the tank or by a float with water introduced or discharged into or from it is provided in parallel and in contact with the membrane 11.

TL;DR: In this paper, a diffuser for a work machine having an air breathing fuel consuming internal combustion engine with an exhaust aftertreatment device periodically elevating the exhaust temperatures to a high level.
Abstract: A diffuser for a work machine having an air breathing fuel consuming internal combustion engine with an exhaust aftertreatment device periodically elevating the exhaust temperatures to a high level. The diffuser has a venturi section and the excess contaminants from an intake air pre-cleaner are directed to the throat of the venturi to aspirate and dispose of excess contaminants while cooling the exhaust flow. Additional openings in the divergent section of the diffuser assist in providing significant reductions in exhaust temperatures within a short axial envelope.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a burner that is capable of operating in a stable manner with no risk of explosion with pure oxygen or air highly enriched with oxygen as the reactant.
Abstract: This burner is so designed as to be capable of operating in a stable manner with no risk of explosion with pure oxygen or air highly enriched with oxygen as the reactant. In one embodiment, a stream of oxygen is delivered through a central tube 4A which terminates in a divergent annular diffuser 30. A mixture of air and pulverized coal is delivered in an intermediate ring 15 around this diffuser and an annular stream of whirling oxygen is delivered in an outer ring 16. Application in indirect heating furnaces, furnaces in which slag exists and cement-making furnaces and in cases where special atmospheres (for example reducing atmospheres) are desired.
