TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the motivators and inhibitors of Estonian e-residency adoption for global e-entrepreneurship, and found that a number of factors characterize the e-Residency adoption process and that such a process might be more complicated than what is expected at first glance.
Abstract: One of the recent technological innovations influencing entrepreneurial practices in the global sphere is Estonian e-Residency. E-residency is an example of a service where the boundaries between the hardware (the product enabling the service) and the service itself become very blurred, thus giving rise to what has been called in the literature ‘service encapsulation’. Given its newness, this study investigates the motivators and inhibitors of Estonian e-Residency adoption for global e-entrepreneurship. The theory of diffusion of innovations is applied to conduct a qualitative investigation from the e-entrepreneur’s perspective. Findings show that a number of factors characterize the e-Residency adoption process and that such a process might be more complicated than what is expected at first glance.

TL;DR: In this paper, authors focused on the analysis of the scientific, technical and innovative development of Ukraine for the purpose of identification of peculiarities of diffusion of innovations in the regions of the country.
Abstract: Article is devoted to analysis of the scientific, technical and innovative development of Ukraine for the purpose of identification of peculiarities of diffusion of innovations in the regions.Relevant issues of diffusion of innovations are generalized using results of the corresponding theoretical and practical studies, which were conducted in the countries with market economy and with the high level of information technology development. Peculiarities of diffusion of innovations in areas with different population density, scientific and business environments are considered. Indicators of scientific, technical and innovative development of the regions of Ukraine are analyzed using the method of principal components. Authors singled out from the general array of parameters specific indicators, which characterize the principal components of innovative development, among which there are levels of research activity, innovation activity, human and financial potential. Consolidation of regions depending on the level of indicators, which characterize the principal components of innovative development is performed. Correlation between the value of corresponding indicators and levels of urbanization and industrial development of the regions are clearly established. Grouping of regions of Ukraine depending on the level of development of a human capital, amounts of funding of RD support of creation in rural territories of partnership around the innovation projects to ensure SME greening and rapid implementation of the latest innovation processes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the literature around these concepts and how they were developed and outline the innovation perspective around them, and conclude the study by developing a set of case scenarios, research propositions and an agenda for future research.
Abstract: The last decade, manufacturing disruption is triggered mainly by the increasing role of data and technology in the production processes. Cyber-physical systems, Internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, analytics as well as data exchange between actors and processes have transformed the manufacturing landscape. Building on the theoretical foundations of Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) we explore the smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts through a literature review and case scenarios. The purpose of this research is to explore the literature around these concepts and how they were developed and outline the innovation perspective around them. To achieve this, we conduct a literature review and we conclude the study by developing a set of case scenarios, research propositions and an agenda for future research.
