24 May 2006TL;DR: In this paper, a digital camera module with a focusing function includes a holder, an image sensor package (30 ) and a wedge (60 ), which is inserted into the holder and resists the image sensor resistances so that when the wedge is pushed, the camera is caused to slide axially relative to the holder.
Abstract: A digital camera module ( 100 ) with a focusing function includes a holder, an image sensor package ( 30 ) and a wedge ( 60 ). The holder has several lens elements ( 16 ) received therein. The image sensor package is movably received in the holder. The wedge is inserted into the holder and resists the image sensor package so that when the wedge is pushed, the image sensor is caused to slide axially relative to the holder.

24 Feb 2005TL;DR: In this article, a digital camera with a detachable display panel that is usable as a remote controller and a method of operating the digital camera is provided. But the camera body and the display panel communicate wirelessly to each other when separated.
Abstract: A digital camera with a detachable display panel that is usable as a remote controller and a method of operating the digital camera are provided. The digital camera includes ( 1 ) a camera body to photograph a subject, generate and process a photographed image of the subject; ( 2 ) a display panel that is detachable from the camera body and capable of remotely operating the camera body and displaying the photographed image; and ( 3 ) a coupling means to combine or separate the camera body and the display panel, wherein the camera body and the display panel communicate wirelessly to each other when separated.

TL;DR: In this article, a door viewer is coupled to a motion detecting device such that when an outsider approaches the door, a digital camera records and stores an image of the person and the resident can later determine who approached the door by reviewing the stored images from a display coupled to the interior side of a door.
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention is a door viewer comprising a light sensing means coupled to an exterior side of a door, an image system for receiving and processing the signals from the light sensing means, and a display mechanically coupled to the interior side of the door and in communication with the image processing system such that image signals from the image system may be viewed on the display. In another embodiment, the door viewer is coupled to a motion detecting device such that when an outsider approaches the door, a digital camera records and stores an image of the person. The resident can later determine who approached the door by reviewing the stored images from a display coupled to the interior side of a door.

22 May 2003TL;DR: In this article, a system and a method comprise capturing images of the area under surveillance using a portable digital camera, detecting motion occurring within the areas under surveillance, and storing images captured by the digital camera.
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for facilitating surveillance of an area. In one embodiment, a system and a method comprise capturing images of the area under surveillance using a portable digital camera, detecting motion occurring within the area under surveillance, and storing images of the area under surveillance captured by the digital camera.

23 Sep 2011TL;DR: In this article, a digital camera includes an image capturing unit, an image composition unit, and a display control unit, where the image data of the frames are captured by the capturing unit at predetermined time intervals.
Abstract: A digital camera includes an image capturing unit, an image composition unit, and a display control unit. The image capturing unit captures frames at predetermined time intervals. The image composition unit sequentially combines at least a part of image data from image data of a plurality of frames sequentially captured by the image capturing unit at predetermined time intervals. The display control unit performs control to sequentially display image data combined by the image composition unit while the image data of the frames are captured by the image capturing unit at predetermined time intervals.
