TL;DR: An image synthesizing system consisting of a digital camera and a personal computer is described in this paper, where the personal computer determines whether an image which is currently sensed by the camera is suitable for being synthesized into a panoramic image or not on the basis of an overlapping area between the first reduced image and a current reduced image.
Abstract: An image synthesizing system comprising a digital camera and a personal computer When a first image is picked up by the camera, the personal computer takes the image sensed by the camera and a reduced image of the picked-up image While the camera is moving, the camera sequentially sends reduced images to the personal computer, and the personal computer inputs the reduced images The personal computer determines whether an image which is currently sensed by the camera is suitable for being synthesized into a panoramic image or not on the basis of an overlapping area between the first reduced image and a current reduced image, and a determined result is notified to a user

TL;DR: A method for identifying whether or not an image was captured by a specific digital camera that acquired an image under investigation based on noise residual features related to the images under investigation is discussed.
Abstract: Similar to ballistic tests in which we match a gun to its bullets, we can identify a given digital camera that acquired an image under investigation. In this paper, we discuss a method for identifying whether or not an image was captured by a specific digital camera. The method relies on noise residual features related to the images under investigation. Our approach considers an ``open set" recognition scenario, under which we can not rely on the assumption of full access to all of the potential source cameras. This is the only scenario investigators are faced with in the real world. In this case, we model the decision space to take advantage of a few known cameras and carve the decision boundaries to decrease false matches increasing the reliability of image source attribution as an aid for digital forensics in the court of law. This approach performs favorably vs. the state-of-the-art.

TL;DR: In this article, a micro-projector is used to present imagery on a display surface and a second device (such as a second cell phone) is equipped with a digital camera, which can capture some of the projected imagery.
Abstract: A first device (such as a cell phone) is equipped with a micro-projector, and used to present imagery on a display surface. A second device (such as a second cell phone) is equipped with a digital camera, and used to capture some of the projected imagery. The captured imagery allows a user of the second device to access digital content of interest from a user of the first device, or from elsewhere. The content may be visual, or of other form (content examples include audio, games, maps, text documents, video, spreadsheets, etc.). In one particular arrangement, the projected imagery is encoded with digital watermark data. Through such arrangements, one user can readily share content, and also engage in collaborative activities—such as cooperative game play, with one or more other users.

TL;DR: In this article, a digital imaging system consisting of a digital camera and a color printer is described, where an analog-to-digital converter is used to convert the analog image data into digital image data.
Abstract: A digital imaging system is provided that includes a digital camera and a color printer. The digital camera comprises: a housing; an image sensor adapted to capture analog image data; an analog-to-digital converter adapted to convert the analog image data; an image processor adapted to perform first processing and compression of the digital image data to create a first-processed digital image file; a digital memory in the camera housing having a plurality of the first-processed digital image files stored in the digital memory; and a color printer interface to which a digital image file, which is selected from the digital memory, is applied. The color printer comprises: a color-marking apparatus, and a digital camera interface, wherein the image processor in the digital camera is adapted to perform second processing on the selected digital image file before the selected digital image file is applied.
