TL;DR: In this paper, the camera and its accessories are imbedded into the ski and scuba-diving goggle such that there is minimal deviation of the shape of the goggle from conventional goggles.
Abstract: The present invention relates to goggles, in particular to ski and scuba diving goggles, with a digital camera. The camera, including the image receiving lens, digital storage, control devices and the battery units, is an integral part of the goggle. The camera and its accessories are imbedded into the goggle such that there is minimal deviation of the shape of the goggle from conventional goggles.

TL;DR: The measurement results of a large-scale waterwheel blade by XJTUDP show that this photogrammetry system can be applied to industrial measurements.
Abstract: A digital photogrammetry measurement system (XJTUDP) is developed in this work, based on close range industry. Studies are carried out on key technologies of a photogrammetry measurement system, such as the high accuracy measurement method of a marker point center based on a fitting subpixel edge, coded point design and coded point autodetection, calibration of a digital camera, and automatic image point matching algorithms. The 3-D coordinates of object points are reconstructed using colinear equations, image orientation based on coplanarity equations, direct linear transformation solution, outer polar-line constraints, 3-D reconstruction, and a bundle adjustment solution. Through the use of circular coded points, the newly developed measurement system first locates the positions of the camera automatically. Matching and reconstruction of the uncoded points are resolved using the outer polar-line geometry of multiple positions of the camera. The normal vector of the marker points is used to eliminate the error caused by the thickness of the marker points. XJTUDP and TRITOP systems are tested on the basis of VDI/VDE2634 guidelines, respectively. Results show that their precision is less than 0.1 mm/m. The measurement results of a large-scale waterwheel blade by XJTUDP show that this photogrammetry system can be applied to industrial measurements.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus to position photographed subjects so that the final product has consistent artistic quality composition is disclosed, where photo templates will be generated implementing proven expert artistic photographic composition methods.
Abstract: A method and apparatus to position photographed subjects so that the finished product has consistent artistic quality composition is disclosed. Photo templates will be generated implementing proven expert artistic photographic composition methods. The digital camera operator may choose the appropriate template to be displayed on the camera's view window as a superimposed overlay atop the image seen through the view lens. The operator should adjust the subject to mimic the chosen template. In the main embodiment of the invention, said photo template may be stored electronically or directly overlaid on the camera's view window. The composition information available by choosing the photo template can indicate to the camera the region of interest for exposing and focusing, thus eliminating the guesswork of the camera's computer. The primary purpose of the invention is to help the unskilled photographer to take better snapshots. The invention can also be used as a teaching aid in photography classes.

TL;DR: In this article, a system for automatically transferring a plurality of digital video segments stored by a digital camera onto a separate storage medium is presented, which includes a lens for providing an optical image; an image sensor for receiving the optical image provided by the lens to produce an image signal; a processor responsive to the image signal, a digital memory for storing the plurality of video segments; a color image display for reviewing the digital video segment; and a docking interface to permit the digital camera to be connected to the docking unit.
Abstract: A system for automatically transferring a plurality of digital video segments stored by a digital camera onto a separate storage medium. The system includes the digital camera and a docking unit. The digital camera includes a lens for providing an optical image; an image sensor for receiving the optical image provided by the lens to produce an image signal; a processor responsive to the image signal for producing the plurality of digital video segments; a digital memory for storing the plurality of digital video segments; a color image display for reviewing the digital video segments; and a docking interface to permit the digital camera to be connected to the docking unit. The docking unit includes a connector for receiving the docking interface in the digital camera and for connecting the digital camera to the docking unit; and a recorder for recording onto the separate storage medium. The digital camera, responsive to a user effort, transfers the plurality of digital video segments to the docking unit, and the docking unit records the plurality of digital video segments onto the separate storage medium.
