TL;DR: A novel photogrammetry system that can realize simultaneous acquisition of multi-angle head images in a single camera position and provides a fast and cost-effective method for the EEG positioning is presented.
Abstract: Photogrammetry has become an effective method for the determination of electroencephalography (EEG) electrode positions in three dimensions (3D). Capturing multi-angle images of the electrodes on the head is a fundamental objective in the design of photogrammetry system for EEG localization. Methods in previous studies are all based on the use of either a rotating camera or multiple cameras, which are time-consuming or not cost-effective. This study aims to present a novel photogrammetry system that can realize simultaneous acquisition of multi-angle head images in a single camera position. Aligning two planar mirrors with the angle of 51.4°, seven views of the head with 25 electrodes are captured simultaneously by the digital camera placed in front of them. A complete set of algorithms for electrode recognition, matching, and 3D reconstruction is developed. It is found that the elapsed time of the whole localization procedure is about 3 min, and camera calibration computation takes about 1 min, after the measurement of calibration points. The positioning accuracy with the maximum error of 1.19 mm is acceptable. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system provides a fast and cost-effective method for the EEG positioning.

TL;DR: In this article, a user can interact with a computing device by tracing a gesture on a surface with a laser beam, which can be associated with specific functions that the computing device may implement.
Abstract: Methods and systems enable a user to interact with a computing device by tracing a gesture on a surface with a laser beam. The computing device may be equipped with or coupled to a projector and a digital camera. The projector may project an image generated on the computing device on a projection surface which the camera images. Location and movement of a laser spot on the projection surface may be detected within received camera images. The projected image and the received camera image may be correlated so that the computing device can determine the location of a laser spot within the projected image. Movements of the laser spot may be correlated to predefined laser gestures which may be associated to particular functions that the computing device may implement. The functions may be similar to other user interface functionality. The function results may be displayed and projected.

TL;DR: The device both from the point of view of the physics of the phenomena involved, as technical components and software it uses to meet the demands of the photographer on the development, contrast, white balance or stabilization of image.
Abstract: The digital camera conceals remarkable technological innovations that affect the formation of the image, the color representation or automated measurements and settings. ** From photon to pixel photon ** describes the device both from the point of view of the physics of the phenomena involved, as technical components and software it uses. Based on the perceptual properties of the visual system as well as on standard transmission and representation, analyzes the solutions to meet the demands of the photographer on the development, contrast, white balance or stabilization of image. The advanced architectures adopted in mobile phones and developments of computational photography are also presented, foreshadowing the features of the future device.

TL;DR: In this article, a system arranged to model a 3D object comprising an image acquiring means arranged to receive a single 2D image of a subject and processing circuitry is described. But the system is arranged to acquire an image 300 from the image acquisition means 110, process the image using the processing circuitry 102 and generate a 3d computer model 2300 of the object from the original image.
Abstract: A system arranged to model a 3D object comprising an image acquiring means arranged to receive a single 2D image of a subject and processing circuitry 104. The system is arranged to acquire an image 300 from the image acquiring means 110, process the image using the processing circuitry 102 and generate a 3D computer model 2300 of the object from the image. The image acquiring means may for example a digital camera; a scan of an image; a digital video recorder; a DVD player; a network connection or a machine readable medium. The system may comprise generating a physical model from the computer model 2300.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a digital camera imaging apparatus that can automatically switch over to a portrait mode when detecting a face image so as to prevent photographing mistake caused by forgotten setting and automatically contain all people within a depth of field when detecting plurality of people.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera imaging apparatus that can automatically be changed over to a portrait mode when detecting a face image so as to prevent photographing mistake caused by forgotten setting and automatically contain all people within a depth of field when detecting a plurality of people. SOLUTION: The digital camera imaging apparatus comprises an image memory 20 for storing one object image, an image capture section 21 for capturing the image from the memory 20 to other memory or register in a prescribed unit, a control section 22 for controlling the entire sections, a face feature storage section 24 for storing features of a plurality of faces, a comparison section 23 for comparing data from the image capture section 21 with data from the face feature storage section 24 and giving the result to the control section 22, and an output section 25 for outputting a final determination result externally.
